Second. I find it hard enough to remember the weights and content of two workouts, let alone 3.

Back without deadlifting can strawberry float off.

Otherwise generally looks alright, agree with the others that if you're a beginner it would be much better to start with a simpler routine.

I'm getting what feel almost like growing pains in my legs. Is that normal?

Its a dull ache, not the aching you get after a workout normally.

How does this sound:

Gym every monday/weds/friday morning. Legs/Calves / Chest/Triceps/Abs / Back/Biceps/Abs

Monday:

10 min run
barbell squats - 4 sets 5 reps
leg press - 4 sets 10/12 reps
calf press - 4 sets 10/12 reps
leg extensions - 4 sets 10/12 reps
air squats - tabata 2 minutes

Wednesday:

10 min run
bench press - 4 sets 10/12 reps
Incline dumbbell press - 4 sets/6-8 reps
Overhead tricep extension – 4 sets/10-12 reps
Lateral Raises – 4 sets/12-20 reps
Parallel bar dip - 2 sets 8/10 reps

Friday:

10 min run
Barbell curls- 4 sets/8-10 reps
Lat pulldown - 4 sets 10/12 reps
plank - tabata 2 minutes

Any more recommendations for the friday session?

And then every night I was going to do at home all 3 sets of:
10 push ups
20 crunches
20 secs plank
30 secs wall sit
10 squats
10 lunges

The home bit sounds pointless to me, if you want to do those exercises just do them in the gym as well. But don't, because those exercises are gooseberry fool. Push ups aside, maybe.

Are you a total novice to weightlifting? Personally I'd just strongly recommend a programme like Starting Strength (for strength) or WS4SB (for a bit more hypertrophy). They're incredibly popular for a reason.

Oh, went to an amazing all you can eat place tonight after a super long gym session. Two hours going balls out followed by a gooseberry fool load of weed really set that strawberry floater up. Had three massive stacked plate fulls of different lamb, chicken, duck and pork cuts with a few spoonfuls of rice. Think I must have had about three weeks worth of normal protein requirements. So good.

How is pork for protein? It's by far the cheapest meat in this country, so it's what I eat the most of. Second cheapest being chicken. Beef is ridiculous, unfortunately.

Also, I've been trying to bulk for a little while now. My gym membership runs out on Friday, and I haven't taken any time off from the gym in months. So I'm going use this as an excuse to take a little break (a week). Let my muscles repair themselves and all that gooseberry fool. What should I do regarding my diet? Cut back during this time off? Or just keep eating a gooseberry fool load?

Lean pork is a great source of protein. Just avoid anything preserved like ham, gammon or bacon. Sorry.

Loin pork is really lean and pretty cheap.

Joined a new gym and just went for a fitness test - results came back with good aerobic fitness, and excellent strength. Feels good as although I've done some exercise in the States, I'm still a long way off my top fitness(and it's really showing :dread: ).

I've got my hands on a voucher for dumbells ("Pro Fitness") & I was just wondering what are the best ones to go for?

One that goes from 1 to 2kg; 1.1 to 5kg; 5 to 15kg; 17 to 20kg; or 15 to 30kg.

I know it may sound obvious (go for the max!) but I do actually want to be able to lift the strawberry floating things.

Did a whole week of Insanity without interruption.

Really starting to see the results of this now, smaller stomach, stronger back, chest is transforming and thighs probably most of all. Hoping for a real trasnformation by the end, just gotta eat right.

I seem to be getting lower back DOMS after deadlifts. Does that mean my form is off? Or is it because I haven't done them in a while.

Well done dude - don't seem to have real space to do this - not a great idea doing this upstairs is it with all the jumping etc involved?

gooseberry fool I need to sort my body out before I go back the other way. I am really unfit when it comes to strength and think I need some training before I start insanity - I have seen a few of the early videos and they are too much!

Well I'm not super fit and I'm doing them. Even the guys actually in the videos have to take the occasional break, so you shouldn't feel bad if you can't do something. Its the drills and squat, after squat after squat that gets me, mainly because I have terrible balance.

Also I'm upstairs in a flat but I just try to be as light on my feet as possible.

Hmm, ok it could possibly work then and it won't involve me spending silly amounts at a gym.

Tbh mine was with virgin for £31 due to being with pru health, but i cancelled and feel shame to go back as the pt kept messaging me to sign up etc. its my fault as i indicated i would sign up if i passed my acca exams, and i did, but felt £1000 for 3 months worth of 3 day sessions per week was a bit much plus he couldn't guarantee times i wanted etc.

Badly need to do something as i am going into a slump since i finished and have more free time. Its making me depressed tbh and the lack of exercise and overeating is killing me inside. Time to make a change.

I've started doing 40 second max speed sprints inbetween every 3 sets of lifting. It's brutal man.

I hadn't been on the treadmill in months though, and I can totally see my muscly body running in the mirror :datass: As opposed to the jiggling fat I used to see. :dread:
