Probably will do. Tomorrow I'm going to stock up on milk etc.

Good man.

I've noticed my stomach's getting ridiculously flabby just now. Know if I cut out my milk intake it would get really defined again but don't want to lose muscle mass elsewhere, dilemma indeed!

I've changed to tuna in sunflower oil - anyone tried this?

Out of interest Cosmo, do you eat breakfast? If so, what do you have? How long after waking do you eat it? If you don't, start forcing yourself to get up at a decent time and eat a decent breakfast no longer than 30 minutes after waking. It'll help no end. Breakfast kick starts my appetite for the day.

Some days I do, but all too often I don't wake up at a decent enough time. When I do manage to get up I normally just have cereal. I really need to sort a proper daily meal plan and begin going to bed and waking up earlier.

Yeah, cereal just isn't enough. You definitely do. And the absolute best thing you can do is to log everything you eat. I know it might sound a little 'eating disorder-y', but it'll help you take stock of what you eating and whether it's too much or too little. And it'll more than likely be too little.

So far I've eaten:

7:15am - homemade McMuffin using around 100g of mince, two eggs, a cheese slice and an English muffin
10am - bowl of shredded lettuce, half a cucumber and two tomatoes with a homemade French dressing. The olive oil I put in the dressing alone added up to at least 200 calories. Pint of whole milk.
12pm - 400g of curly fries
2pm - homemade burger using 100g of mince, two slices of bacon, a cheese slice, and a handful of shredded lettuce in a bun with a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise. Pint of whole milk.

Haven't felt full once. I'll probably eat something before my next lecture at 4pm, I'm having sushi with some of my flatmates tonight, and I'll have something before bed. I'll probably squeeze some milk in as well. Contrast that with the other day when I had to skip breakfast, and I probably managed just over half of what I'll end up eating today. And what I'm eating today isn't even that much.

Get up early, eat well. First steps to getting sexy.

Yeah, when you weigh the same as the ideal weight for a 15 year old girl, you don't need to be choosey about what you eat. Cosmo isn't gonna suffer a heart attack if he eats like that.

EDIT: Sorry Cosmo, didn't mean to be rude with the whole '15 year old girl' bit.

Why don't you just get on Starting Strength?

I bet you can put on 10kg in a month, easy.

Gym three times a week and drink a gallon of milk a day. That's it.

Aw christ that sounds good.

I always struggle to eat first thing, find my appetite rises as the day goes on. Just down a few raw eggs when I get up, Rocky stylee. 8-)

I'd go with Harry Bizzle's advice Cosmo. Once you're managing GOMAD your appetite will be insane anyway, then you can start substituting milk for meals if you want. I've been drinking 7 pints a day for ages now, not sure if that's pretty unhealthy...

So I'm folowing this new programme and diet and gooseberry fool.

Just been to the gym, I spent most of the session trying to force out farts because I was hit with this really bad case of trapped wind in my mid section before I went.
That aside I got some lifting done at the end. I'm taking a new approach, your muscles can't do maths, they can't tell the difference between a 10kg weight and a 20kg weight right? he muscle can only understand how juch work it needs to put in to lift something. Before I was trying to push up weight and just get the reps done, I was wasting my time because I was only doing enough work to ensure I do all the reps in each set. So I've lowered the weight and decided to do 6-12 reps per set and take things a lot slower and put more effort in each lift. If I find it too easy then I increase the weoght. Anyway I've done my upper body stuff for the week, arms, shoulders, chest the like and to be honest I think this approach is better than the one I took before I can already feel the difference because I feel like I worked my arms more than normal without hurting them.
What exercises can I do for my mid section? My plan is to go gym 3 times a week, one for upper body, one for mid and one for legs. I already have a good idea of what to do with my arms and legs but I don't know any good things I can do for my mid section, I'm hoping I can get rid of the fat around my stomach because nothing is working on it, no matter how much I run, no matter how much I burn off that strawberry floater won't die.

Advice would be helpful.

Also what should I eat if I want high protein but low fat?

Cuban Pete wrote:I stopped reading when you said muscles don't do maths or something to be honest.

The point I was making was how I was wasting my time by just going bigger all the time because I wasn't lifting correctly. I could probably work my muscles just as much if I was to move down to a smaller weight and lifting the correct way. The muscles can't tell the difference between a big weight and a small weight it can only tell how much work it needs to put in.

Can anyone link me to a punch bag that I can fix to the floor?

Basically I have a freestanding frame outside, and on that a 35kg bag, but the bag just flies like a mummy strawberry floater, and even with the frame being weighted down by around 200kg, it still rocks about like a bitch, I either need to attach something to the bottom of my exsisting bag and to the bottom of the frame to stabalise the bag somewhat, or buy a new one with some kind of fixing to it, does that make sense?

Just had a meal of pasta, chicken and some form of cheese sauce I don't think I'll be able to eat anything until tomorrow now. :|

Listening to some music and a tune from Top Gun came on. Every time I hear it I imagine being in the gym lifting some heavy ass weights.
