Love Black Dynamite.

Cheers for the kind words guys. One day I'll find a picture of my 21st party, when I was still pretending I could grow hair. I've de-aged by like 15 years since then.

Ill have to get a progress picture at the weekend. I dont think Ive 'grown' much, but people comment that I look much healthier and I feel great, so something must be working.

Yeah I do like seeing comparison shots.

Had a lovely wee session tonight, couple of my old gym buddies were in so had a long overdue catch up

Currently collapsing up a hill after 3x10 50kg squats, the struggle is real

Had a few days away so double session tomorrow and single sessions Sat and Sun which would normally be days off. Not sure whether to be pleased or upset that I have to go shopping for new funeral-wear tomorrow. Enjoying the 32 inch waist

Also noticing and enjoying my increased fitness from doing HIIT as well a lower intensity cardio. A friend who normally just resistance trains came to do my normal workout with me on Monday and I had him throwing up half way through my HIIT session while I still felt pretty fine. Good to compare myself to where I guess I used to be really.

Thats about what i do too, on the elliptical i would do 1 min hard, 1 min easy. When i use battle ropes i do 20 seconds on, 20 seconds off, because doing a straight minute of that would strawberry floating kill me  Tho i do a skipping exercise that absolutely destroys me now, 1 min skipping, 1 min of various pushups/mountain climbers etc, repeat for 5 minutes. 1 min rest, then back at it for another 5 mins. Its strawberry floating murder

That sounds quite good actually, I've got a skipping rope at home so I could easily do that in the garden. Although i'm fairly gooseberry fool at skipping... i'm sure that'll improve with practice.

Will give that a go this weekend!

I absolutely love skipping. I just worked out that I do 550 skips on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 1100 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. As Brelappin says, once you get into a rhythm it feels incredible.

+1 for skipping.

We used to do minute-long sets, including a recovery. 30 on, 30 off, or 40 on, 20 off, etc, for ten minutes or so.

Essential plyometric work, made you feel great and very bouncy, and I found it used to help to really clear your mind, too. Try thinking about anything else while you're skipping quickly. It's impossible

Well we can't have this not on page one of the forum...

Was feeling slightly lethargic and considering not hitting the gym today but after 30 minutes of watching the marathon I really can't bring myself to be lazy  :fp:

I know that feeling ME, having a clear out of old clothes today and it's a hell of a motivational tool(also I have no clothes that fit). Football tops that were too small for me before are too baggy to have any use now.

I bought, and fit easily into, a pair of 32" jeans and two small men's t-shirts on Thursday. I've never fit into 32"s, I pretty much went from XL kids to 34" and 36".

Tl;dr: feels good man, let's hit the gym.

Edit: it's occurred to me that most of my posts in here lately are about effects rather than actual fitness. Getting back on the ball in the gym tomorrow and a circuits session on Tuesday, so that'll balance us out. :slol:

Deadlift up to 130kg from 120. Max reps at this weight went down from 12 to 9 but god damn it feels good to have that much weight on.

On account of being a disgusting slob I'd mostly blocked this thread out of my vision. With Shime Waza disappearing I'm going to need one of you magnificent specimens to step up and make a new thread. Anybody want to do the honours?
