Not really a "trimming" but we're doing someone-or-other's cherry coke boiled ham for Christmas this year. I think it might have been Nigella. We did it last year and it went down a treat.

I didn't like it very much though.

I do like to buy tesco finest chipolata sausages and streaky bacon and make my own pigs in blankets rather than the readymade ones as they just taste amazing. Except I haven't done that this year because I'm poor.

And I sometimes make very basic but very tasty sausage rolls for new year. One day I'll make the pastry from scratch instead of buying a block of puff pastry. One day.

1. Your special trimmings for Christmas Dinner

Nothing too different, throw some roast chestnuts and fried bacon in with the sprouts once they're cooked and cook with a bit of butter and salt/pepper. Duchess Potatoes as well to go with Roast Potatoes is always good but thats about it. Nothing unusual. Never have Turkey for christmas dinner though, not a fan. Always have gammon, chicken and one other meat (usually duck or beef). Christmas Dinner

2. Best frozen Pizza brand

Pizza Express ones are usually quite nice but I always heavily modify them, add plenty of my own stuff. Much better off just making your own from scratch to be honest. I quite often use Tesco's Pizza Base Mix kits, they're about 40p and give you the pre-prepared dough mix. Just add water and roll them out over some flour. Takes no time at all.

3. Best way to use the Green Pepper you get in multi-packs

I like to use green peppers in chilli along with red/yellow, give a bit more flavour variety in the chilli and taste good when they're slow cooked. Also taste fine roasted and then stuffed with cous cous, rice and meat or anything like that. slow cooking them in some stock when stuffed with rice, veggies, meat etc. and they can taste lovely too. They're perfectly adequate replacements for any other pepper if you just caramelise them with a bit of sugar before use. :)

Seems a bit extreme. If the stuffing is good enough, surely the guests will compliment it?

It's extreme to the max.

Does anyone ever shop at Lidl? There's one not far from me and it's dirt cheap so I shop there. If you go, go to the freezer section and get their Bami Goreng stir fry pack. So cheap, piss easy to make (you just fry it) and damn tasty. Highly recommended.

Hey folks. Yep I'm all good contributing here.

My Site ... (spoilered for those who get overly sensitive about site pimping)
I run a site called Jim's Chocolate Mission and have done for the last 3 years www.chocolatemission.net
In a nutshell I review chocolates, cakes etc etc ... I've worked up such a following now I get paid for most the reviews I do. I'm looking at a near 5 figure revenue this year. Not bad for a blog eh!?

1) My trimming speciality - Honey mustard glazed parsnip and sweet potato ... That's my only contribution to Christmas dinner this year :-D

2) I love making small pizzas for lunch using Pittas breads as a base, bit of Tommy K, bell peppers, cheddar ... add whichever toppings you want. Quick, Easy and fresh! Yum!

3) I love roasting peppers myself.

What's everyone got for din dins tonight?

I'm either having a baked bean and sausage wrap with chips or i'm going to cook prawns in garlic ala Delia (See HERE) ..... all dependent on whether SKYRIM turns up :-D

Pretty much gone through every supermarket ready-made curry going. Sainsbury's (manufactured by Noon) & Iceland seem to be the best places to go. ASDA's "Chosen By You" Tikka Masala was the worst, with sauce that tasted like it had come out of a jar & rather hard chicken.

Most supermarkets do naan breads that bear absolutely no relation to their curry house counterpart, but Waitrose, Marks & Spencer & Morrisons do one that's very similar.

Have you tried the Mumtaz ready meals? strawberry floating lush. Their Keema Matah Kurai (I've probably spelled it wrong) is amazing.

I'm currently eating a sandwich made from Kingsmill 50/50 bread. Worst bread I've ever eaten.

Probably the worst major bread brand going.

What do people think of these things?

They're always on offer, and I've probably worked my way through all the flavours now.

I keep buying them, but I don't know why. They're totally unsatisfying and quite tasteless. There doesn't seem to be a rival on the market. They're way worse than Beef Jerky or Pork Sractchings, which are just yum.

More meat snacks on the market, please.

Are you vegetarian, Dual? I've also started buying crap like Quorn. It's cheaper than meat and still acceptably good.
