I made some Muhammara tonight and it was absolutely delicious. Middle eastern food is rapidly becoming my favourite cuisine.

It's a really highly rated book and I saw it in multiple "best of 2016" lists. Worth picking up.

Cheers for the heads up, not too keen on Kindle cooking books but for 99p I'm game.

I recently picked up this book from Amazon in the US and its absolutely wonderful. Looks like it is available in the UK though.

I prefer the physical edition when it comes to cookbooks but for the sake of a quid it's hard to turn your nose up at the Kindle edition. At that price it only needs to have good one recipe to justify the cost.

I'm having no luck with buying ready ripe avacados whatsoever. They're always off and turning black/brown on the inside. It's really frustrating. It's either that or buying hard ones and then waiting days to eat them.

This is my first time attempting to eat them, BTW.

I get adverts constantly on Facebook for it. Sounds like a dull ass way to live. Sure it is good for you etc but actual this isn't just about nutrition.

Tbh I don't pay that much attention to my food bill but i don't think it can be far off. Shop in Lidl's, couple of loaves of bread, big bag of potatoes pasta and rice, some frozen veg and cheap packs of a couple of different packs of meat. Dozen eggs. Does the job more or less.

Can confirm. Spent £25 yesterday in lidl including wine. And snacks.

Shame their beer is good really, punk and that less so but the limited run stuff like Black Eyed King Imp and Tokyo* are outstanding.

Made sweet potato pie for the first time. Taste good but a bit strange as never had a desert pie made from vegetables.
