Yes I know they were in different seasons. My point is that there's clearly the makings of a good Championship-level manager there which are surprisingly difficult to find. He seems to have really high-highs but also very low-lows. He needs to find a way to bottom out the lows.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

He’s a manager that seems to work in blips. Sometimes we will be on long winning runs, sometimes on long losing runs.

I wanted him out last season. It was awful. Not just losing, but awful football being played and way too many games where we should have been in control only to end up losing/drawing. He turned it around for half of this season but has been awful since, Johnson has a real habit of being 2 or 3 goals up and then strawberry floating things ups causing a draw or loss.

He has done more than enough this season to justify keeping him as manager, but he needs to stop the long spells of defeats and get off to a decent start next season.

I was reading about Chesterfield earlier. They’ve been in the League for almost 100 years but are now heading down into the Conference.

It was a long time ago, but I remember the year they had their run to the semi finals of the FA Cup and came so close to the final with a 3-3 draw, before losing the replay. Unless they are lucky, there are years of hurt awaiting their fans, the Conference is an absolute bitch to get out of.

So close. As it is I remain convinced we will finish 7th.

Sounds like a poor performance anyway, lucky even to get the draw.

Could have been 4/5 but you defended really well. Think you'll get play offs now.

Wimbledon drew yesterday with Wigan who are top of the league, we have two more games left and it looks like we'll be staying up. MK are out of the league

Coleman sacked.

Mind boggling why he took the job in the first place when he surely had better offers. He’s ruined a lot of the credibility he built up with the job he did for Wales.

Maybe the potential new owner didn't want him. Most Sunderland fans seemed to want him to stay, I think it would be harsh to blame Coleman too much for the mess we're in.

What a strawberry floating omnishambles. Who are they going to get in who is both better than Coleman and also willing to slum it in League 1? Not even Pep strawberry floating Guardiola could do anything with that bunch of strawberry floating clowns.

Apparently Ellis has cleared the debt, the new owners are essentially getting a clean slate.

That's a hell of a parting gift

Fair play to him.

He's still a prick though.

Was at the game vs Oldham last weekend and fancied that result against Wigan after their celebrating.

Pigott has been bang average but has turned up with some season-saving goals. Bring on Tuesday!

Dear Birmingham City,

You've had your fun. Do the right thing and let Fulham win.
Please.
