He wanted the Forest job, and told Rangers that he was using them as a stepping stone to get back to England. Obviously I hate the Rangers and find their decline hilarious, but that's a really poor thing to do to any club, and I can understand why they told him to shove his job up his arse. A lot of the details coming out about his exit from Rangers paint him in a very poor light, and he's had a very bad season up there in a worse league despite being given money to spend in summer, something Blackburn don't even have the luxury of giving him.

I don't want a mercenary in charge of Blackburn anyway - we've had too many of them already, including the owners.
