You haven’t posted at all after a Villa win? Or you haven’t posted every single time Villa have won?

Either way, I am only winding you up because of that post you made to evanswolves. It’s amusing that you posted that to him and then vanished from the thread yourself after Villa went into a bad run.

We only lost twice :slol: im aware of the wind up. Im suprised i wasnt tagged in anything tbh.

And every time we win. As long as fulha. Get knocked out of the playoffs we can beat the others around us. Hoping its derby tbh. :shifty:

It might only be twice but it's still a bad run.

You can beat anybody around you. But anybody around you can beat you. I honestly can't see past Fulham at the moment, they have the momentum to go up, your best hope would be for them to go up automatically and for Cardiff to go on a bad run just before the play offs start.

I'd actually prefer for Fulham to pip Cardiff to the automatic places and then we play Cardiff.

Cardiff are a bang average side overachieving at every turn right now.

That was my thought, I don’t think anybody would really fear playing Cardiff, whereas Fulham seem to be the team that would give everybody else problems.

It seems a shame that one of the GR teams contesting the playoff spots is going to miss out on account of Fulham. Seems like Villa are comfortably going to qualify, so one of Middlesbrough, Derby, and Bristol City isn't going to make it.

Bristol City certainly are not going to make the play offs. We had a good start to the season, but our current form is poor and I'd be amazed if we finished top 6.

The only hope we have is that the long break gives us chance for injuries to recover and for Rowett to somehow instill the right mentality for the final run in. There's certainly no reason why we can't make the playoffs but as you all know at the moment we are doing our very best to drop out of them as quickly as possible.

If anyone needs a laugh, check out the red card from pompey’s game today. Playing Oxford and Nathan Thompson (former Swindon captain with a history against Oxford) ran up and laughed in Oxford striker’s face who missed a penalty. Oxford striker promptly slapped him in the face and got red carded

The Pompey player's reaction to a pretty tame slap(i.e. to roll around on the ground with his feet in the air like a baby throwing a tantrum) is horrendous.

As an aside, I didn't realise Kal Naismith played for Portsmouth. :(

The Oxford player is an idiot for slapping him and rightfully sent off but what an utter twat that Pompey player is-runs over to gloat in an opposition player’s face while the game is going on and then rolls on the floor and stays down for the physio...for a slap

I think the loss to Bolton effectively ended Villa's hopes of automatic promotion. Fulham are on an annoying run of form, although at least they dropped points against QPR. Funny how Cardiff were really strong at the start of the season, then fell away, and have come storming back at just the right time. It's not out of the question that they overtake Wolves, who've had a couple of slip-ups recently. I think Villa will get a play-off place, and I'm more optimistic than I was about the prospect of doing well in them, but over those handful of games the overall form of the season doesn't count for too much. Anyway, just got to focus on getting back to winning ways and hoping teams around us falter!

So to give this some context, Nathan Thompson used to captain Swindon Town. Swindon and Oxford hate each other. This picture has surfaced from last season:

twitter.com/NeaveSnr/status/978005231853359111

when the Oxford players were all too happy to give it out and do sarcastic eye rubs at Swindon. It's hardly surprising that Thompson was keen on rubbing it in when they missed the penalty.

To be honest, I find it fairly amusing. The Oxford fans are completely outraged because he's an ex-Swindon player. The number of times Pompey have been accused of being "too nice" and being run over at Fratton Park. Nice to see us be less pleasant back for once.

Objectively, pretty ridiculous to stay down for that long. Subjectively, I'm okay with it and it was stupid of the Oxford player to expect anything less after making contact with someones face on a football pitch. Also - it should never have been a penalty in the first place.

Changed the game, either way. If they'd have scored and made it 1-1 I do think we'd have gone on to lose the game. 1-0 vs ten men and we never looked troubled again.

And yes. Kal Naismith has been with us for quite a while. He scored a bucket-load towards the end of last season to help us win the league. Has been quieter this year other than a ten minute appearance in goal which included a bloody fantastic save with his feet to ensure we limped away with a point at home.

All the good performances for Portsmouth in the world will never make what he did right in my eyes. I mean, the barefaced cheek to play for Rangers :dread: :slol:

He got the chance to play for the most desirable club in Scotland. Can't hate on a player of his relative skill level for accepting that.

Which part do you take issue with? I don't see anything inaccurate in Drummy's post.
