Forest at home on opening day. I'm hoping they'll be good boys and let us win.

Fairly sure MHTL is a Forest fan. May be going crazy though.

I just copied from the previous thread. If MHTL wants to be added he will have to let me know.

If MHTL is then we have a lot of Forest fans here. I am not sure that should be allowed. :dread:

I used to prefer City to Rovers when it came to Bristol clubs. Not so sure now....

October 24th and March 5th. Good gooseberry fool. Looks like I'll be in America for the Brightin and Bokton home games though, which I'd like to have made.

Think I'm getting a season ticket this season. :D

It's going to take some monumentally poor management for Derby not to win the Championship this season.

How often have the pre-season favourites won the league? Not many times. Derby were favourites last season too.

Apparently we are heavily tipped from the media and bookies (understandable, as the three teams above us all went up). However I don't expect us to be favourites at the end of July, or maybe after 10 matches or perhaps even at Christmas.

It can change so fast and it's often impossible to predict the top six, let alone who will finish first. Worryingly for Boro, sometimes the play off teams can struggle next season and finishing as runners up is no guarantee you will get there next year.

For what it's worth, I think Derby look strong at the moment, especially if they get Ince too. But a lot of teams are yet to make signings, and it's such a competitive division.

Portsmouth lads, we're(Celtic) signing one of your old boys - Nadir Ciftci - from Dundee United. Twenty bookings and a red card in two seasons, two SFA charges... was he like that for your lot?

Not that I can remember. He was only with us for a season and it was during the dark days so I've erased a lot of that period from my memory. Seemed like he had a bit about him, both ability-wise and attitude, but wasn't a big troublemaker or anything.

Bristol Rovers have lost their court case against Sainsbury's. As I understand it, this puts Rovers into a whole heap of trouble as they will not now have any chance of moving stadium and are going to struggle to pay off some very high interest loans that they took out.

As a City fan I expect people think I am gloating, but actually I am not (unless Gandalf decides to kick off!). It will be interesting to see what happens next but I would be very very worried if I was a Rovers fan.

So Avenue have won their first two pre-season games 3-0 and 6-0.

...we're gonna win the league.
