Goodnight, sweet prince.

The headline of the BBC article:

"I have nothing to be afraid of as I have done nothing wrong..."

An excellent way to kick off this new ownership .

Thank strawberry float for that, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Hopefully he'll be held in the same regard as Forest legends such as Silenzi or Platt.

I for one welcome our (alleged) referee-bribing, bakery-bombing overlord.

Just imagine what you'd need to do to fail the Football League fit and proper persons test.

"Of course there is no issue with you taking over this club Mr Pot"

Pol Pot was more of a rugby guy I think.

He's certainly a big fella, our new owner. Not sure 'who ate all the spanakopita' really scans though.

I like his style so far.

Michael Eisner now owns Portsmouth FC.

I'm very happy. Lets hope this means a bright future for the club.

Surely, surely someone in here has already made a joke about you now officially being a Mickey Mouse club?

Also, a friend of mine tells me that, starting next season, overseas fans can pay an official EFL service £110 and get streams of all games. Is this true? Great value for me, if so.

Portsmouth are now a proper Donald Duck club. Flashing around the bottom half and completely unintelligible when they try and talk.

So, realistically, you'd expect to be back in the Championship within 3 seasons at worst. I mean how many third tier teams in this country have this amount of money behind them? Hell, how many Championship teams have this amount of capital behind them?!

I haven't been following this - what's his interest in Portsmouth?

And looking ahead to the Championship playoff final, I really hope Huddersfield win. I can't stand Reading, and it would be a good story to see Huddersfield have such a fantastic season (and a 'new' team in the PL as well).

I agree. Even though they quite categorically destroyed us when we visited them (probably the only team I can truly say that about), they are an entertaining team to watch so I shall be rooting them on. Manager seems like a decent bloke too.

Hes been eyeing us up for a year, looking for a team with potential to grow, but one that had their original home to renovate. So he chose us.

I personally think that the Huddersfield manager is an utter wanker, and hope desperately that the entire town of Huddersfield falls into a hole in the ground.

Yeah I read something about this. Not sure of the details though as applies outside of the UK

I am a bit torn, Reading have already been in the Premier League so I think it would be great for an “unfashionable” side like Huddersfield to get their chance. The complete change of players for that game did sour things though.

I'm going to hope for Huddersfield as it wasn't their fans fault what happened. Plus I think it would be amusing for a team with -2 goal difference to get promoted. ;)
