Just renewed 3 season tickets for next year's promotion push/fight against relegation/mid table mediocrity!

I'm playing with renewing my season ticket, but it depends on other factors. I'll probably share one with my brother in the end.

I don't want to be accused of not supporting my team through the gooseberry fool times, but it is getting harder.

You must be enormously fat to need three seats.

One must be in the opposition end so he's at least assured of seeing a few wins.

I know this sort of thing isn't binding but I'm sure I read an article in which he pledged his loyalty to Pompey just weeks ago.

He did. He said he'd only ever leave for Liverpool. Which is fine. Everyone says stupid things.

...but after one week?!

Leaving Pompey for a Premier League or upper half Championship side would make sense.

But Wigan?

Wigan?

:fp:

Nonsensical decision - Portsmouth are more likely to challenge than Wigan are.

And he's 99% confirmed gone.

Baffling.

I will not seek to move anywhere. ‘If I was to get offers from any clubs higher than Pompey, that doesn’t matter to me. ‘I would love to continue managing this club, I will not leave this club unless it was for a reason why the club wanted me to leave. ‘I would never leave this club. ‘I love the club, I love managing the club, it’s a fantastic club. For my future, I want to be here. ‘If I’m not here then it will be only because Pompey don’t want me here. ‘It won’t be because any other club in the country had come in for me – except Liverpool. ‘I have to tell you.

So much loyalty in football.

It's just so bizarre. It doesn't seem like anyone at the club wanted him to leave, so what's his reasoning? I'm guessing it's to do with his family being up there and obviously having ties to Wigan, but why go ahead and pledge your loyalty to the club whilst being aware (surely?!) that there was a chance he could become Wigan manager. Baffling.

Anyone got a link for the play off final? Preferably one that I can watch on an Android tablet that doesn't need Flash.

Premier league sides must be absolutely shitting their pants at the thought of playing one of these sides.

Weird how basically no-one here has been watching this.

Or maybe it's just been so gooseberry fool it's stunned people into silence. Was definitely not worth staying up until 1:30am on a work night.
