Can't complain. They were much better than us over not only both legs but the season as a whole. At least we had the chance to experience the playoffs again.

One day we'll all be playing in the Premier League again. Like in 2007/08.

A quick check tells me that Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Derby last played in the top division in 2007/08. The last time Derby, Brighton and Middlesbrough played in the top division was 1979/80 and Derby were relegated that season. All four have never played in the top division at the same time - Blackburn and Brighton never managed it.

2019/20 will be the season - Derby and Boro first and second, us through the play-offs. It's on.

As a Brummie I am embarrassed by the state of our football teams, so I'll be rooting for Villa to go up to go at least a small way towards improving that side of things.

As much as I want to wind Glowy up, I am physically and mentally unable to wish any good fortune on a Pulis side.

Our problem is the same as the second half on Saturday. Villa are defensive and backing off constantly by the sounds of it, but we aren't really hurting them with our possession. Keep making the wrong decisions when attacking.

It's annoying so far as you feel like they are there to be taken, but we don't have the quality and the clear heads to take advantage.

It's also doubly annoying as we're only behind because of cheap goal we gifted them by completely unmarking Jedinak on Saturday. But they can afford to defend that lead, so we need to be more pressing and threatening up front.

Listening to the radio but everyone is amazed it isn't a red. Sounds like it would have been in and it's a bottle job. A yellow is a decision made without really making a decision.

Saying that, we haven't really hurt them in the second half, and it's been 180 mins without a goal so there's a lot of blame on us too. We shouldn't have let that Jedinak goal after 15 mins been the deciding moment.
