First season with Spurs. Bought Hulk in January, finalist in Carling Cup, won FA Cup, won Europa League and got third in the Premiership.

I'm tenth and I'm looking going to finish there (only one game left). We've been playing much better in the second half of the season, it's just a shame we took so long to get going. Also, I've done really badly this season against the bigger teams. Aside from beating Chelsea at the SoL we've lost nearly all those games. Which doesn't bode well for my other remaining fixture, the FA Cup final against league leaders Manchester United. Not confident at all. :(

Gonna try hard to have a clear out in the summer. There's a few fringe players on £30k wages I want rid of - Fraizer Campbell, Elmohamady, Kieron Westwood - and a few I don't want come back from loans as well: George McCartney (I can tell he'll be hard to get shot of), Riveros and Gyan. Should be able to get a good price for him at least. I've got a couple of others like Nosworthy out of contract as well and Bendtner is going back to Arsenal after his loan so it'll be all change for next season. Might try and sell Cattermole as well, I don't like him. I'd like Bendtner back but he's scored 20 goals this season so it'll cost big money. At least Owen has started scoring now.

Release McCartney, I had too

Yeah, probably going to have to.

Finished the season, tenth place. Would have liked to get 8th or 9th but Wolves and West Brom in particular did really well.

On the plus side, won a thriller of an FA Cup final, beating United 4-3. We played really well in the first half, pushed up the pitch to try and close them down early, and I played Catts and Vaughan together to break them up in the middle. Went in a goal down though as Young got past Bardsley on the break and he gave away a penalty. Second half was mental though with six goals going in, somehow managed a win. Redeems an otherwise extremely average season.

Right then, so what's the plan for this challenge then. Are we talking about taking a team from say the championship up and then onto winning the title? Or maybe taking an unfancied side from a weaker division and winning the league with them, for example somebody other then Celtic/Rangers in Scotland or somebody other then Sporting, Benfica or Porto in Portugal?

Aren't we all playing a shared saved game, taking off the bottom team in January to see who can get the highest in the table - I think that's the best idea

Aye we're going to do it starting from the last day of January transfer window so we've only got a day to reinforce the squad and then attempt to get them out of relegation battle. I know Duck said he was going to get the save up in the next day or so.

Jesus... I signed a bunch of youth players, and figured i'd download one of those editors so you can see the potential ability of players. Turns out I signed someone with a potential ability of 199.

haha nice one, always good when you sign a unknown youth player for him to turn out like that!

Going to start a Bolton save tonight and try and do a bit better than Coyle this season. Think a new striker is needed and should be happy with mid-table for this season. Will let you all know how I do!

I'm planning to start the Challenge on Tuesday, if that's okay with all?

(Maybe give a week for the transfer window too? A day seems a tad harsh!)

I'll start simming the save now. :)

Sweet. What rules are we having? Is there anyway to prove/disprove allegations of match quitting? Also, I haven't used this feature yet but as you can load extra leagues into your game, what's to stop you adding an obscure league just to sign cheap but class players nobody else knows of?

Also why not start just before the FA cup starts in Jan? Would give players who are better then me the chance to win some silverware to really show off!

Well, I've never really run one of these before, so I'm open to ideas. Match quitting I can't disprove, but I would ask that every player upload their save afterward to make sure there is no taking over of other clubs to get their best players cheap, or managing games and deliberately throwing them. Think it would be possible to check for the addition of leagues, too. (Isn't it a case of they get added at the end of a season anyway?)

Any ideas for dates, people?

Rules for points I'll be drawing up soon.

Into the Fourth Round of the FA Cup as League Two Northampton, beat two League One teams to get there. Gonna win it I reckon.

If you're just starting, i suggest this lad Carlos Fierro. He's 16 and an absolute gem. 1.3million He will cost you in compensation. In his first season for me he played 24 games, Scoring in 19 of them. He's going to be a little gem
