Back to back promotions. 8-)

Finished fourth in the Blue Square Bet Premier, beat the team that finished 3rd in the Semi-Finals and the team that finished 2nd in the Final of the Play-Offs! Two games in to my next season and i've already been knocked out of the League Cup by Ipswich. Still a struggle to sign players on loan/frees though as no one wants to play in this league unfortunately.

Just about survived relegation as Norwich 8-)

Been given £17.5m to spend in my second season. I'm not sure where all that money came from but I'm not complaining.

Back to back to back promotions! Bossed League Two and won the League easily. I get the feeling that aslong as I keep making good signings i'll keep going through the league easily.

Got into the Premier league with Tranmere
Barcé offered me Pedro for 6 million so i snapped him up, Really struggling in the league at the moment though, Think come January i need to invest in some old but class Defenders. Hopefully that'll shore up the back, Im doing the business in front of the Goal but shipping a tonne of Goals.

Taking a little break from it now, will go back to it in a few weeks.

I got Forest promoted to the Premiership in my first season thanks to a bit of luck and some shrewd loans. Managed to improve my squad quite signifcantly over the Summer after being a bit ruthless and letting a lot of players go. Had the most horrible opening run of games though...

Man City (H)
Liverpool (A)
Chelsea (H)
Arsenal (A)

:|

Taken 2 points out of the 4, both the home games which all things considering is I think quite reasonable. Got a run of home games coming up against similar level sides until I host Manchester United so hopefully I can pick up a few wins.

I was put on the phones to cover service levels and got completely distracted by playing it on my iPad - just let a customer talk for 10 minutes straight and I said the usual nonsense listening words whilst trying to get my Leeds team for 2-0 down to win 4-2

FM is addicting as always this year. One thing that always happens with me when playing FM is I get disinterested when all the real life players start to retire. For me it takes away the realism even though it's realistic by creating new players if you get what I mean.

For instance I'm more interested in the game when I'm using players I know in real life, than when 5 years into a save my team is dominated by regens.

Anyone else the same?

This isn't a complaint aimed at the game by the way, as it wouldn't make any sense logically. :)

I am exactly the same, I can only think of one occasion where I've really carried the game on using regens.

I know what you mean. If I'm really into a game though, it doesn't bother me. I've brought the regens through the ranks and you feel like you "know" the players.

This is the first time i've ever bothered playing a game and actually using regens. I think where I started with Woking, I don't know who any of the bastards were anyway so it makes no difference if i'm using regens.

Although I did sign Anton Ferdinand on a free, League One's star player!

Hopefully someone will buy him from me though, bastard is injury prone to strawberry float.

I love regens. It makes finding young talent more of a challenge. :)

True. I love having a ridiculous scouting network.

Finally getting into a save again, with Spurs. In a CL place fight, knocked out in the last 16 of the Europa and won the League Cup so far, with an FA Cup final in the offing. Only bought one first-team player in Gregory van der Wiel who hasn't been great. Modric has been shite too, don't even play him!

If you don't use regens then I genuinely don't see the point in playing Football Manager.

Just made a huge transfer to replace Emannuel Adebayor on loan with Huntelaar. He better peform for £27m!

Also can't help but laugh as in my Euro2012, England lose to Portugal in the Groups, go through, then lose to Germany due to a last minute own goal forcing extra time in which they lost.

Why? You can get up to about 10 seasons worth of gaming without even having to consider bringing them into your team. I rarely play more than 3-4 seasons on any game in it as I like to have numerous different ones.

The main reasons I don't like regens so much is that

A) Its very rare that you get any decent british ones, and as I usually manage english clubs so I prefer to have primarily british teams.

B) Those horrible computer generated faces! Somebody on sortioutsi created a load of facepacks of ncaa footballers to be used as faces for the regens which I will use this year if I get so far in one save game (I've really struggled to stick with one for more than 2 seasons so far in 2012)

Woah, big step-up from League One to Championship. I've mostly had to sign players who will come good eventually, a GK with a PA of 172, CB with 143, CM with 160, RW with 161, LW with 178 and a ST with 179 and it's strawberry floating me up now that they've all got a CA of 100 or there abouts. Played three games so far, first was a 5-3 thriller, the second was a 0-3 defeat and the last was a 7-1 tonking by Sheff Utd. I feel me saying I was going for promotion was a bit silly this time around.

Gonna be hard to stay up if it carrys on like this. I had to sign a couple of youngsters in on loan that aren't all that great in honesty, but I need them to make up the numbers.

So, in the first 5 games of the season, Bale, Krancjar, Modric and Lennon- my only senior AML's. My backup/youth AML, Zezinho comes in for the big Champions League opener against Leverkusen- he goes diving in and gets sent off in the third minute. :fp:

Still won 3-0. 8-)

Problem is I still have all my first choice Attacking Mifielders out, three of them for months....and now this bint is suspended from the Champions League meaning I'll have to play a 17 year old by the looks of it. :fp:

On the upside, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is 6 goals in 5.

Had a massive transfer budget (relative to my first season) but no one wanted to join little old Norwich :( Signed up Scott Brown on a free and brought in Danny Graham to replace Steve "NO strawberry floating GOALS ALL SEASON" Morrison who I sold.

Squad's tiny though, not letting fringe players out on loan, need them all I think. Hoping to improve on last season but not massively, mid table and no relegation battle would be nice.
