Disappointed with Madrid. Thought they could have gone for more but El Clasico is looming. I fear a similiar fate for us on Sunday TBH if we cant defend better.

Really not impressed with Lovren. Thought Lallana and Can where decent when they came on.
Ludogretz winning tonight took the edge of the defeat.

Madrid where fantastic. Wouldn't surprise me to see a Madrid - Chelsea final.

You've done that twice now fin. :x

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

I don't make the same errors twice in the same night. I just make lots of different errors. 8-)

Didn't PES Fan say there were "obviously going to get 0 points" or something? I hate this face and don't like using it at all, but: :simper:

Buff, can you cross reference against your list of Liverpool fans please? Cheers

Sorry, I was talking about Ludogerets, not Liverpool. Something about these sort of teams shouldn't be in the competition because they haven't got a chance of going through.

Yes, he was all for more third, fourth and fifth -placed teams from countries that are already well-represented, rather than the champions from a smaller country.

His argument was that teams should be allowed in the CL if they aren't capable of winning it. By that logic, maybe United shouldn't be in the PL right now?

A ridiculous idea, obviously, but not really any more ridiculous than ensuring the Champions League plays host to fewer teams who are actual champions and more teams that finish third, fourth or fifth in their respective leagues. The difference largely being that the latter are richer and more powerful than the former.

The best thing about last night's Liverpool humilation is that we get to see it happen all over again in 2 weeks time

Not particularly surprised by the result, or by Balotelli. He's such a numpty. :fp:

Wonder if RM will be the first team to defend the trophy? You'd have to think it'd be them, Bayern, Chelsea or Atletico at the moment. I'd say Madrid are the strongest out of those based on what I've seen.

Liverpool just don't have enough depth. A couple of injuries and they're 'just' a decent team, which doesn't cut it in the CL.

It's often impossible to tell simply from the Champions League group stage. Often you will get one or two strong favourites and they end up getting knocked out in the knock out phase. Due to the away goals rule, often our dodgy game can leave you with too much to do and knock you out.

Beat Ludogorets away and Basel at home and I think Liverpool get through to next round, whatever happens at the bernabeu.

I think Bayern are better. Liverpool have tons of depth, it was Brendan Rodgers third ever CL game as manager against the european champions. Very few of our players have played in the CL also. Woeful defending cost us 2 goals of the 3. A couple of injuries is a bit harsh when its Sturridge who is out, he has what liverpool are all about, pace.

Apart from the defence and Ballotelli, I think the rest had a pretty good game.

Liverpool don't even look like they have a strong enough starting XI at the moment, let alone having tons of depth.

Was it really a humiliation? 3-0 against The European Champions? Bore off lad.

Yes it was a humiliation. Liverpool showed absolutely nothing, just simply bent over and took their beating. The supposedly 'unbelievable' European atmosphere was gone after just 20mins.

Quite simply an embarrassing performance all round.

Against the European Champions, Against Ronaldo...

It wasn't a humiliation in the slightest.

We fell apart after the Ronaldo goal, Aye, but I think you're under estimating just how good Real Madrid were for 70/80 minutes.

Not sure why you're bringing the atmosphere into it either? So you're saying as long as the crowd keeps on singing and we get battered 5,6,7-0 it's not humiliating?

3-0 against them isn't bad. It's not good either, but it's not a humiliating score line.

I'm not sure if this is new news or not, but I've just been told Uefa Champions League games will be going out in 4K over BT Sport 3 (through Fibre). All other Champions League games will also be broadcast in HD (also through Fibre).

From next season, BT Sport will also be split into 2 packages. Pack A (BT Sport 1) and Pack A+B (BT Sport 1, 2, 3 and ESPN). Virgin Media customers will only have access to BT Sport 1 and 2 through their TV, but Virgin are showing 18 of the Group Matches.

I can't show you the charts, but Christ Almighty is the pricing & package structure going to get convoluted next season if you want to watch everything...
