I would have liked to have seen this Leicester title winning team stay together for at least one season. Oh well. If Vardy leaves, that's probably Mahrez gone too at the very least.

Can't really blame Vardy if he leaves, but it's a shame if we don't get to see Leicester having a crack at the CL in their current form/setup. Guess some players reckon that's as good as it gets though, and want more money/more opportunities while they can get it.

I'm surprised they wouldn't want to give it a go in the Champions League after what they've just done. It seems almost as if they realise it was a "one-off" type of season for the club.

Well, you could have not, given that second yellow wouldn't have been a yellow if it happened in the Champion's League final, let alone a charity game

All about the wages. Apparently we've matched Arsenal's offer to Vardy reported to be in the region of £120,000 a week. I'd rather we didn't, he's nearly 30 and I strongly think he'll flop at Arsenal, they will wind up using him out wide at best. I'm not too fussed about Mahrez - we have a great player in Gray who I really like the look of and I'm hopeful he could fill his boots to some degree. Kante is the biggest worry, he would be more difficult to replace.

Ultimately if a small club has success the big boys come in like vultures. Southampton have had it happen to them all to often recently and have had to be retroactive in trying to remain competitive after losing key players.

Im suprised, I thought it might have been different what with having been champions and actually guarenteed a group stage place in the Champions League. When everyone has so much money, how is it still seemingly so easy to have players leave to 'big teams'?

Suppose it's the lure of playing for a recognised 'big' club and all that comes with it including mixing it with so called better/bigger players on the training ground

What?! It was a borderline red, definitely a second yellow. And the first tackle was nasty too.

I know it's for charity but they all take it seriously, so he can have no complaints.

I think that is exactly what has happened.

Going to be a bit shitty when the planned films about Leicester winning the league end with the best players leaving for big money and the club falling into obscurity.
