For once I don't think a post by you is just hyperbole! Great business by Villa.

Well that's a good start to the summer, if Tim gets him back on form he'll be such an upgrade for us :D

Finish.Last | Aston Villa

Very pleased with the Richards signing! Great start to the summer business, and although I primarily remember him as a right-back I know he has played a good while at centre-back while at Man City (alongside Dunne, if my memory serves correctly). If he plays alongside Okore, that is one quick pair of centre-backs.

Also, we seem to be paying some big money again (wages-wise). Could be because we're back 'in the black', with the likes of Bent of the wage bill, but it seems much more likely that it's because we're about to be bought by a hugely rich oil baron/Russian gangster/Chinese consortium/American businessman.

Much more likely.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

PuppetBoy - Sunderland

Stephanie Roche (who scored that wonder goal last year) signed for Sunderland Ladies today. A good excuse to see it again:

Colombia just beat Brazil :datass: Neymar got sent off after the final whistle. Kicked the ball at someone very hard and then attempted a headbutt. The man is a disgrace.

They need to up their English quota. Can't see Delph playing much, I'm sure Scott Sinclair will warn him about it.

Happy with the fixtures. Have to turn up for the first game this time against Spurs.

Would like to see some more activity from us before the tour. Both on the De gea bit and our incoming personnel.

Dig Dug - Everton

Will be nice starting the season with yet another newly promoted team I guess. Just just hope this season isn't a complete non-starter like last time otherwise we will be truly strawberry floated.

2nd signing this week, good to see us bringing in players sooner rather than later. Unfortunately probably a replacement signing for Clyne leaving :(
