Henderson as the lone holding midfielder as well?

That formation would just be like Liverpool the season before last, scores loads, but concedes just as much...

I'd take that, it was certainly more fun

Twitter on about Benteke coming...

I really REALLY don't rate him, I'm sure Glowy and others will come in here an jizz themselves off over him but I seriously think its a waist of money. I'd barely want Liverpool to pay more than 14m for him let alone 28-32m. :dread:

Conversely, I think he's shown that he can be a consistent goalscorer even in the dour squads that Lambert was putting out over the last couple of years.

He's young, strong, fast and scores loads of different types of goals, and he's been doing it in our league.

I have to agree, although i think he is good in some ways but not the high 20's to 32 million amount.Just to add comparison values, sergio aguero cost man city 38 million and sanchez cost 32 i think but both are amazingly skillful , consistent scorers and top end internationals. Who knows though around a team that play a bit more intricately he might improve a lot more.

How big a waist is it to fit all that money in?

I just don't think he suits Liverpools style of play, we're not scoring enough from set pieces so maybe that why we're going for him but that's a steep asking price for whats essentially 'plan B'.

With Flanagan there we don't need any other defenders. The others are just there to make up the numbers

He is a beast.

Seen on the Guardian that Nani is apparently off to Fenerbahce for as little as £3.5m :?

Not even worth comparing with a few seasons ago. The money in the game is completely different.

Apparantly Lallana 'met' him when he was in holiday in the states, good job Adam and Couts had a hand in Firmino deal I reckon also.

Falcao formally signed with Chelsea. Not sure what to think - could be a Torres 2.0 as he's past peak (for a striker) with knee problems :dread: On the other hand he's likely to be a 3rd choice so a straight swap with Ba isn't too bad.

Benteke would NOT be a good buy for Liverpool. Who do I complain vociferously to?
