I had to google Will Young to check I hadn't missed a part of the 2016 harvest there...

His career was though.

Yes but he tried to resurrect it by going on strictly come dancing and then quit in a huff and people turned on him, calling him a diva etc.

I thought England played pretty well last night, especially in the first half. You could attribute some of that to Germany being poor, but that's not England's problem. They dominated the first half and created chances - only problem is they didn't take them. Second half wasn't as convincing, and Germany scored a good goal, but there are positives to take away. That being said, it's all well and good playing well in pointless friendlies, but England don't do it in the big games that matter, which has to be a mentality thing more than anything. Be interesting to see how Southgate does things moving forward, and what the performance on Sunday is like.

What does Will Young think about Southgate's performance as manager so far? A good Evergreen choice for the future? I didn't think last night managed to light my fire but you could tell that before the game Southgate said to the players "Don't let me down, play Your Game the way You and I know you can. Switch it On at the right moment and if you do lose, just Let it Go"

Good old Wikipedia

Massive game tonight, RoIreland v Wales, absolutely huge, a loss for us doesn't kill us off but If we win we'll all but kick Wales out of the qualifying, a draw would do us well also. We've a ton of injuries and Brady is suspended so I'm hoping for a draw.

My nerves.... :fp:

Absolutely no positive feelings for tonight. We're ravaged by injuries for one. It's probably gonna be a really gooseberry fool game.

gooseberry fool first half.

We need to stop fouling. Amazed that some of those "tackles" haven't resulted in a card.

The trumpet has been the best thing about the match. You are correct that the trumpet player is dire.
