A 28-year-old has been arrested in southern Germany as a suspect in the attack on the Borussia Dortmund team bus on April 11, the Federal Prosecutor's office in Germany confirmed in a statement.

The German-Russian suspect was arrested by a German federal anti-terrorist unit in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg on Friday morning and has been charged with attempted murder, causing a bomb explosion and aggravated battery, an official press release said.

The Federal Prosecutor's office in Germany says the man is suspected of having acted for financial reasons and had speculated on Dortmund's share value dropping after the attack.

Ralf Jager, the North Rhine-Westphalia state's minister of the interior, said the suspect had hoped to earn millions.

"The man appears to have wanted to commit murder out of greed," Jager said

That bastard deserves to spend the rest of his days in a septic tank.

Probably the best draw - avoiding Ajax was a great coup for United I think, they look quite strong right now. Got to say they've got a great chance of making the final, and I'd love to see Zlatan claim a European trophy in his first season in England.

Funnily, if United win the EL the extra place granted to England for the champions league would probably knock Celtic out of pot 3 in the group seeding should they make it that far.

Celta Vigo will not be easy for United, Aspas has been on fire this season. They also have Rossi and have been playing some pretty good football, the United squad should be able to do it but i don't think it will be a simple one. Should be quite a good game.

Well considering the struggles they've had against pretty average opponents in the Europa League so far, I'm not expecting United to swat Celta away all that easily.

But arguably Ehiogu was the first piece in that jigsaw, bought by Bryan Robson for what was a club record £8m. He was a massive buy, and shored up our relegation-threatened side and helped us narrowly stay up.

Ehiogu joined in 2000 if I remember correctly. I got my first proper season ticket in September 1999 (I'd been to matches before but generally just individual tickets and I was too young to really know what was happening). Ehiogu was a big part of the team that I grew up with, regardless of what success Boro later had.

Also, he was tremendously unlucky given the era he played in. Had he been playing now, he would have ended up at a "bigger" club and had countless England caps. As it is, he played in a time when England had an embarrassment of riches in defense and he was only a bit part player. There's no shame in Ferdinand, Campbell or Terry keeping you out of the squad, but had times been different he could have been England's first choice centre back. Indeed, at times maybe he didn't get the recognition he deserved due to the clubs he played for. He was linked with Arsenal a few times when he was with us and it was no less than his talent warranted. Though Middlesbrough maybe have been just "another" Premier League team at the time, don't let that colour your vision of the calibre of player Ehiogu was. The man was top class. And, personally, he was part of *my* Boro side - the one I spent most of my formative teenage years with.

I actually had this post written earlier but it didn't send. The moment has somewhat passed now but, no worry, we can all get back to wonder who Celta Vigo are.
