I think it's to do with the FA having to sign something which said all FA Cup semi/finals and England games will be played at Wembley for a certain amount of years. Though I don't think it really matters where the game is played as Spurs would be favourites anyway.

I think it's to do with the FA having to sign something which said all FA Cup semi/finals and England games will be played at Wembley for a certain amount of years. Though I don't think it really matters where the game is played as Spurs would be favourites anyway.
It probably as guarantee as part of the stadium sponsorship deal. Obviously it's don't to help pay off the stadium debts. But if people are passed about spurs having 'home advantage' then they will be massively pissed off if Chelsea end up using Wembley for 3 seasons as planned.

TBH this leasing out of the national stadium and giving free stadiums to London teams is giving them a ridiculous advantage.
