What did the ref do. I paid no attention to how they restarted the game. Did he just do a drop ball?

Well yeah, you’d be livid wouldn’t you.
It was shocking how a fan even got onto the pitch, could have had a knife or a gun on him.

To be fair that’s happening in England far too much now also.

Don’t care if you celebrating or whatever. You shouldn’t be allowed to invade the pitch because all it takes is one dickhead with a knife and a player could end up being stabbed.

Actually yes you are right. I completely forgot that’s what happened.

Yep football violence and stupidity is getting out of hand again in the UK. I know my local club (Northampton) have had far more incidents of violence and pitch invasions this season and speaking to the police liaison officer for the club it’s replicated across the country.

No sympathy for Karius at all. He was abysmal and cost his team the cup with errors that a schoolboy would be ashamed of. Liverpool need a world class keeper. If they have any intentions of improving on this season’s progress. For too long now they’ve had substandard between the sticks.

There’s a way to lose then there’s just fluke mentalism.

Feel gutted for Liverpool thought they had a decent game but goal keeping like that and Ramos being the banana split that some how makes him a top defender, then he gets breathed on and collapses.

Madrid didn’t win by fluke. You didn’t lose by fluke. You lost because your keeper had a shocker at key moments. It was bad luck to lose Salah but you were well in the game until the first goal and then got back in straight after. You can’t legislate for the loss of Salah or for the outrageous goal that bale scored but you lost by two goals and both those were because your keeper is not good enough.
No fluke - just Piss poor from a guy not good enough at that level.

Obviously I’m glad being a Manc but you’ve missed a chance there against a not great Madrid side.
It’s a shame for Pool. They were superb against City and Roma.

Some how?

You don’t win the amount of trophies he has without being a top defender. Yes he’s a banana split but every team would love to have someone like him in their team. Good defender and great on the ball. Gets vital goals at times. Been doing it consistently for over a decade too.

Wonder how many times in a general game arms get locked together like that?

Just typical that someone is injured from it in a final and it happens to be that team's best player...

But if he got pulled up for 50% of antics by getting booked more and sent off he wouldn't be as highly rated, he does get away with a lot of decisions and bloody play acts every challenge on him.

If and buts I know.

So disappointed about last night. Up until salah went off injury I felt we were the better team but after he went off a lot of players went missing, mainly firmino and gini. Mane and milner can both be proud of how well they played in the second half, everyone else can strawberry float off with that shower of gooseberry fool they dished up.

Immediately after the game I wanted karius left in Kiev but now I feel sorry for the lad, no idea what he was doing for the first, I'm not sure he does either and the second just punch the strawberry floating thing but I feel this will now make or break the lad and I'm actually gutted for him because he had started to turn things around for us.

I don't understand this, surely the second point is precisely why it's easy to sympathise! He has no one to blame but himself, he was terrible, but he's only 24, basically a kid, and he must be distraught.

Horrendous comments on Twitter from so called Liverpool fans wishing death on Karius, cancer or Aids on his kids. Disgusting

These alleged LFC fans are probably the first to say YNWA etc too. Scum

That was always going to happen though, wasn't it?

Could have been any team and you'd get death threats etc, it's just the scum of the world all pent up with hate and bile. Every team's got them.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

Commiserations to Liverpool. I wanted them to win but I had a feeling in the back of my mind they might get battered. You can take great pride in that performance. Definitely the better side in the first half, although they wobbled when Salah went off. As an aside, if anyone is wondering whether old Sergio was just a bit unlucky to hurt him, I teach that move as part of our brown belt syllabus. What a prick. Fair play to Salah for giving it a go, after I dislocated my shoulder I wouldn't have felt like going back out on a football pitch!

Karius' errors were phenomenal. You can't help but feel sorry for him, he's going to need a real arm around the shoulder for a while. Is he going to the World Cup? Just seen KingK's comments and I'd like to see how many of those strawberry floaters wishing death on a footballer have JFT96 in their Twitter handle, completely unaware of how their actions and words sully the memories of real people who died. Compete bellends, get some perspective then a strawberry floating grip, and give the lad a break.

I think instead of concentrating on the WTF moments for the other two goals, more love should be given to Bale's goal. A proper dream final-winner. Better than Zidane's?

Seriously, if you can’t feel sympathy for Karius you’re a psychopath or maybe just a complete idiot. He made some awful mistakes but is now receiving death threats against himself and his family. You’re a banana split if you do not sympathise.

Seeing Karius walk over to the Liverpool fans crying to apologise was heartbreaking.

Sounds like Salah is going to miss the World Cup. Genuinely gutted about that, you want the best players there.
