Would make seasons far more exciting.

Should only be open from June 1st to July 31st or thereabouts. Plenty of time to get deals done and still a week or two for players signed at the end to bed into their new club. It's ridiculous just now you've got teams with some of their best players (Van Dijk, Sanchez, Coutinho, Costa, Sigurdsson) either out "injured" or not getting picked because of transfer speculation.

Totally agree I also think the January transfer window should be scraped to stop big teams cherry picking in form players from smaller clubs.

Completely agree with both of these statements - it's a nonsense that transfer speculation can essentially ruin the first few matchdays.

It will only stop Premier League clubs buying players though. Clubs abroad would still be able to buy players from English clubs, it would just mean that the English clubs would not be able to replace any players.

Presumably they would look to have it replicated across the European leagues, or it would stop trading between English clubs only, they would still be able to bring players in from abroad.

That's not the proposal.

What would happen is the English transfer window would close before the season started. No English club would then be able to bring in any further players until the next transfer window opened.

European, Chinese or wherever clubs would not be subject to those regulations and would be able to buy players from English clubs up until their windows closed.

It's not a bad idea in principal, but it would be madness to do it unless you had an agreement in place with the other big/rich leagues around the world.

Really worried about tonight, we still have a small small pool of players, a horrid stat is that Under Klopp we've brought in 9 players and sold 20..... :dread:

We've 200m ready to spend and literally couldnt get Keita or Van Dijk, a horrible season could be ahead. :dread:

Nice one but have you seen your recent results are Anfield? I'm sure you'll get on fine pal.

Not with Zaha injured :dread:

Based upon the defending quality of both it could end 5-5 or something... Hopefully Liverpool need to really push for the second leg next week so that Saturday is ignored...

Just read that Klopp once again mentioned our offside goal from last season. When's he going to let that go?

And I see City lost to their feeder club in a friendly.

The transfer window change is nonsensical unless every league in Europe adopts it.

Yup, If the rest of the clubs don't follow suit only way it would work is if you could stipulate something in their contract.

Absolutely bricking it for this game. Why does their manager look like he's just rolled out of an SU?

This window has really shown that more of the power is with the club. Clubs don't need to sell. Nothing we can do if a club don't want to sell, No matter how much money you throw at them. Ragnick said that yesterday I think, That even if we had bid £100 million they still wouldn't have sold and right now, Southampton wont sell us gooseberry fool either.

They're not utilising the left for some reason...Anyway was that an actual pen?

From a completely biased point of view it seems a bit tame...either way it doesn't matter now.
