The full monologue. Sounds like he's been preparing that for a while. Probably since it was obvious City were going to win the league. Comes across as very whiney and self serving.

Don't care for that at all.

Why is Klopp annoyed that they pushed the Derby back 24 hours? He’s going on about other countries would have cancelled it or whatever. He’s forgetting City player later on the same day vs Man Utd.

I fancy Liverpool to beat City. Yeah they got thrashed at the Etihad, but they were on top in the game before Mane got sent off. They dropped off in the last 10 minutes at Anfield. Obviously they can’t afford to do that in a champions league tie.

It probably be a question of who can concede the least away goals.

It’s the draw probably both teams least wanted. Obviously Sevilla were the first choice. But you rather play Bayern, Barca, Juve or Real as it would be something different than playing each other again.

City will smash them. League was done and dusted months ago so they'll be concentrating on the CL whereas Liverpool's place in the top four isn't secure if Chelsea get their act together and Spurs don't do their annual shitting of the bed.

I think Liverpool still have to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge too?

Yeah, that's Liverpools penultimate game of the season. I think Liverpool will already be safely qualified for next seasons CL by then though. Liverpool have the easiest fixtures remaining of any team in the league and everyone else involved have games against each other or City IIRC.

That Mourinho meltdown is simply glorious. Anyone in the United heirarchy should be cringing like strawberry float at a diatribe like that, and maybe - maybe - looking for Luis Enrique’s number.

Mourinho made good points, I think. Man Utd have been gooseberry fool in Europe for ages to be fair, and even under Fergie didn't win it anywhere near as often as they should have done.

Maybe so.

I don’t think league being over helps City at all. It certainly didn’t help Pep when he was at Bayern. Where as it probably helps Liverpool that they are playing for something in every game.

If City win the league against Man Utd of course they are going to be celebrating. Obviously it’s been coming for months but to do it against your rivals makes it sweeter and you wanna celebrate it more. So that might actually help Liverpool if City have a hangover.

I'm cringing. It's strawberry floating embarrassing. He's done some damage to his standing with me in the last week.

Moyes got us in the last 8.

To be fair we did lose to one of the greatest teams ever in 09 and 11, I would have fancied us if we played anybody else.

Fergie did decent in Europe. Not amazing but he wasn’t a disaster. Remember in the 90s, English clubs were just coming back in the champions league after the ban. Then we had the 3 foreign player only rule which meant we couldn’t use more than 3 players who weren’t from England. We had mixture of British players in our squad.

It then took Fergie time to adapt to the tactics. We couldn’t play 4-4-2 away from home like we could in the prem.

Jose has none of these excuses. There’s no point comparing Fergies era to anyone elses. To be fair also I wasn’t bothered about Europe when Fergie was winning title after title.

Mourinho has spent £300m and that should be enough to coast through Sevilla. It’s not really big expectations the fans are asking.

He hasn't got a leg to stand on using that bullshit as an excuse. He's doing his classic deflection technique. That routine is becoming tired.

What a melt. "Wah I didn't inherit as good a team as Man City, I only have one of the most expensive teams ever assembled, bought last seasons 2nd and 3rd top goal scorers in the Premier League, the player with the most assists in Serie A the season before and happen to have the best goal keeper in the world."

I wish he’d just said he got it wrong. Shouldn’t have changed the team from Liverpool.

It doesn’t really inspire the players confidence when they are getting dropped or played in another position. If you gonna sign someone like Sanchez atleast have a plan on where you going to play him. As Martial was in fine form before Sanchez came in and I presumed he’d play Sanchez on the right.

The comments about PSG early on in the season annoyed me.

If he were to leave then I’m not sure who’d we’d replace him with. Tuchel would be interesting.

I would throw money at Spurs for Potch but I doubt Levy would let him go anywhere. Conte would be another interesting option.

Someone mentioned Luis Enrique. His jobs at Celta and Roma weren’t spectacular. At Barca he had one of the best forward lines in history so difficult to judge him.

But at the moment I would give Jose next season. Either improve the style of football or win a big trophy which is league or champions league. That’s what you get Jose for. If he hasn’t done it in three seasons then there’s no point continuing.
