I'm pretty sure he is joking around.

Mendy wasn't happy with his 78 rating.

I can imagine there's a lot of dressing room competition with FIFA scores. I'm sure loads of them play it-I remember back in the day a story about David James getting addicted to it and missed training which just seems ridiculous.

Wasn't he recuperating from an injury and it messed up his body clock he played it so much?

So the league cup causing a fuss again.

I think they should just remove all teams who are in Europe from the competition. But the problem is that even the lesser sides do not take it seriously most of the time.

No-one cares about the league cup unless they make the final.

I care about the league cup. It's one of only about 4 trophies up for grabs. It's a bloody trophy!

As a Spurs fan I don't care about the league cup until the semi finals. When you get that far you think that you have a chance to win it so it becomes interesting but you don't really care that much if you don't make the final. If you lose in the final then it's annoying.

As a cobblers fan i like it as you have the potential chance of getting an away draw at manchester united and the chance to earn some extra money that can be invested back into the club. However even that is becoming less lucrative as the crowds at the prem clubs are getting smaller and the clubs are having to charge lower ticket prices.

Remove the League Cup, make Premier League and Championship teams enter the FA Cup at Round 1.

I hate the way the top clubs slag off the League Cup. Just pull out if it offends you that much.

Both Manchester United and City put decent sides out, so they can't hate it all that much, can they? And going by how Burton lined up, it isn't just the top clubs who prioritise other competitions over the LC.

Perhaps removing the teams in Europe isn't that bad an idea? Least then if the winner still got an Europa League spot there'd be more reason for them to play stronger teams...

I'd go for removing teams in Europe and giving the winner a ticket to the Champions League.

Also love the idea of putting every team into the FA Cup at the first 'proper' round.

The richest six clubs would never allow that to happen.

I don't think the format needs changing. For Premier League clubs it's an extra 6 or 7 games including the final which is certainly manageable for them considering their resources. It's a bigger issue for clubs in the lower leagues as they'll inevitably have smaller squads so if they demand change then maybe action should be taken. When it's the managers of the clubs best equipped to deal with a handful of extra fixtures griping? Nah.

Very nervous about this second half. I'm a piss-poor pessimistic football fan at the best of times - old firms bring out the worst in my nerves
