Pls. He's not for sale, Go away now.

Only £80 Million up front. Rest in addons, One of which was if he wins the Balon dor  Sod off.

I think he will never win the Balloon d'Or anyway.

He'll finish runner up behind Ozil.

That's supposedly the way the Coutinho bid was structured. Bit of a piss take really.

Apparently not:

Reports of PSG putting Draxler up for sale had prompted a response from the player’s agent with Liverpool and Arsenal heavily linked with a move.

‘We are not interested in whether L’Equipe wrote something,’ Roger Wittmann said.

‘There has been no change, it is not a topic.

‘If somebody writes ‘I have this information from Nasser Al-Khelaifi [PSG chairman and CEO],’ then I will consider it and call the president to speak about Julian’s situation.

‘Once again, though, this is not the case. So, everything has been said.’

First 2 hardly seem impossible given the club, no? Nothing wrong with wanting an increase in the guaranteed amount, though.

I think the fee being staggered over 5 years is an absolute joke.

You've scored 5 goals in the last 2 games?

Liverpool would have snapped Barcas arm off for that deal last year, the Neymar transfer has inflated the market beyond all recognition.

Also do Liverpool fans not see the hypocrisy in moaning about Barca while they've been pursuing Virgil all summer despite Southampton clearly not wanting to sell?

I think the structure of the Coutinho bid is the biggest issue. There seems to be a consensus that Barcelona were offering less than £20million upfront with the rest due in installments and add ons, many of which seem to be unrealistic. Considering Barcelona are after recieving €220 million up front for Neymar to turn around and offer Liverpool a sixth of the Coutinho fee up front looks like an obvious recipe for failure.

How do people not understand not wanting to sell a player. Barca come in with however much, cool, but Liverpool don't want to sell so it doesn't matter how much they offer.
There's also hardly any time to buy replacements

Which is fine, if the player is professional enough to give his all for the team when called upon.

But if he was to sit on the bench all season, his value will drop, possible unrest in the dressing room etc. It's just not a good situation for everyone involved so it's best just to get rid. He's a player that doesn't want to be there, so you might not want to sell but then he doesn't want to play. Unfortunately a lot of the power resides with the player nowadays where 90% of the time they get their own way.

If he was to do that, but its unlikely.
It's a World Cup year so he'll be wanting to play, Liverpool did it with Suarez and had one of their best seasons in recent times. Coutinho's nowhere near as good as Suarez, but if he knuckles down, plays well he'll be off to the World Cup where he can bite someone and get his transfer

He doesn't strike me as that kind of player/person but I've been wrong before. Fingers crossed it works out for all parties involved.

Bailly anticipated that very well. Poor defending though as he really shouldn't have got that.
Not a great first half and the passing needs to improve. Too many poor crosses.

It's a bit frustrating first half but at least we are up 1-0.

Liverpool have went nowhere near VVD since they were reported to the FA. Southampton were in their rights to keep him much like Leipzig told us no to Kieta and he's going nowhere. Liverpool are well within their right to say no and keep Coutinho.
