Ramos is a thug. I hope Salah recovers for the World cup but the BBC say it seems unlikely.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I heard Salah has to choose between an operation that fixes the problem long term or play with the risk of it popping out continually for life.

I've avoided this thread for the night as I've felt very annoyed!

But what has been the general consensus here on the challenge on Salah by Ramos?

I don't want to read back through pages of depression but hopefully hearing what you all think would be good?

In one way it looks like a very sneaky challenge where Ramos purposely breaks Salah.

In another non-biased view, it looks like Salah could actually links his arm first and it just gets stuck?

Either way strawberry float Karius.

From an unbiased standpoint, he absolutely meant to bring him down with the intent of injuring him.

I can't believe he didn't even get booked for it.

The general consensus was that Salah tried to jump on Ramos’s back and force him to the ground. Ramos is the real victim here. I think it was a 100% agreement between everyone on here.

It was odd. He played on for about ten more secs before stopping the game, I think for another foul rather than pulling the game back as well. His view of the incident couldn’t have been more perfect as well.

This might be unpopular but I honestly don’t think it was intentional from Ramos. Ramos gets infront of him and wins the ball, they come together and lock arms (which I think Salah does first) and then Ramos starts going down and brings Salah with him. In slow motion it always looks worse and while it’s a foul i don’t think it’s more than that-it’s just unfortunate that Salah lands the way he does on his shoulder.

I think because it’s Ramos and he’s a scumbag everyone is assuming the worst.

It'll be unpopular because what you've said isn't accurate. Ramos 'wins' the ball only because he's already locked arms with Salah (Ramos' doing) not after and is already pulling him down. He doesn't break arms because he's trying to injure Salah.

He also elbowed Karius during the game which the ref ignored

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what Ramos does before he plays the ball. He outmuscles Salah and plays the ball. At that point it’s good defending. He then drags him down which I agree is a foul but I still don’t see it as malicious. Most of the time there you end up in the heap on the floor.

He did seem to clatter Karius but I don’t think you can blame the ref for missing that. The official behind the goal should have spotted that though.

There’s no doubt about that. His playacting is embarrassing.

He tried to injure him by hoping for a freak landing? There is nothing malicious in the tackle even if it is a deliberate foul, it's just horribly bad luck.
