To be honest, if you’re basing it on single seasons, I think you can make a strong case for those three.

Mane is like Ringo Starr in that group.

Regarding Mane, this is quite amusing:

Firmino, Salah and Mane have scored more goals than Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo did in a season tbf, so it's not like it's an outrageous opinion.

Certainly not an outrageous opinion. I guess the measure will be what they manage to achieve in a single season. United won the league and CL double with them in 08, whereas Liverpool can only win the CL (this season at least :dread: ).

Yorke, Cole and Beckham in 99.
Henry, Pires and Bergkamp.

There’s another three.

No doubt Liverpool are very good and those three are very good together. But talk about hyperbole and getting carried away.
Let’s see what they win as already stated.

Firmino is much closer to Mane in terms of ability than Salah, so it's more Mane and Firmino aren't as good as Salah.

If you were to apportion how important they are to the Liverpool attack in terms of percentages, Salah would probably take 55%, with Firmino and Mane taking 25% and 20% respectively. They are all fantastic players though.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

The thing Lawro said was the best seen in British football. There were no modifiers.

Better than Best, Law and Charlton then. Better than Dalgleish, Rush and anybody else playing with those two then.

It is quite an outrageous opinion, when the team they play for are third in the Prem League, 19 points behind City.

It’s not outrageous. But more importantly Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez won important trophies.

To add to the list Duff, Robben and Drogba wasn’t bad too. Maybe would have been better if Robben wasn’t made of glass.

I do think the trio have massively benefited from Klopp. They probably wouldn’t produce the same for another manager. To have a team featuring Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Robertson and Chamberlain on the verge of a champions league final is remarkable. You just know why besides Lewandowski that a lot of players struggled when they left Klopps Dortmund. Klopp manages to get the best out of average players and turn them into world beaters. He’s still a banana split though.

Wuh?

Photek wrote:I can only think Parksey is on the wind up here. To say that I know FACTUALLY that liverpool will go to the final when nobody knows the future is ridiculous.

Parksey, do I really have to put "in my opinion" after EVERY POST?

Classic Photek.

Anyway, I think we can all agree that Liverpool don't have a hope in Hell in the away leg, and Salah's not really world class as he hasn't met the Denster Criteria and single-handedly helped Argentina win the World Cup.

You've made it way too easy for a comeback there*.

*Which is what we'll be saying about Liverpool after Roma's glorious 7-0 victory and successfully lulling everyone into a false sense of security. But not us pessimists.

And whats the bullshit part? None of them are world class players unless you are implying that they are.

That you're suggesting that all squads are full of world class players. Djimi Traore, Vladimir Smicer, Milan Baros, Wes Brown, Nemanja Vidic, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick, Jesper Blomqvist etc. etc. etc. have Champions League winner's medals. All teams have non world class good/average players

That’s a bit unfair because Salah is going to win the World Cup with Egypt this summer.

Vidic?

Yes and it still makes it remarkable to reach a final with that team.

Even when you praise Klopp the Liverpool fans get on your back.
