Ancelotti's hands off style with Rooney and the rest of Everton's squad would probably be a disaster

Dyche is probably the best option avaliable, he's way more astute than people think and at the very least he'd right the ship enough to avoid relegation

Dyche is a very smart football manager - I think Everton would be a step up for him(let's be honest I think Forest Green would be a step up for him) and give him the opportunity to earn the reputation that, imo, he should already have. He job he's done at Burnley has been immense.

McLaren's free and can gradually scale back his Dutch accent to ease the transition.

David Moyes is available you know, and he's proven that you don't need to win trophies to be a winner but he is a winner.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I like Dyche too, it would be good to see him given a chance.

Unrealistic to think Ancelotti?
Absolutely. I’d be astonished if they even had him on the shortlist.

Here’s a thinking outside the box option- Eddie Howe from Bournemouth?

Didn't Barca table a greater bid during the summer window, £137m or something in that range? Or am I imagining things? :?

In a manner of speaking, yeah.

To be honest, the way Everton splashed the cash in the summer, I wouldn't be surprised to see them try and tempt Ancelotti with a big money offer. Whether he'd taken it is another question.

Ancelotti would be a terrible choice considering how hands off he is meant to be with players. Could do without Barkley getting fat again.

What a load of crap these fifa awards are. Why have they invited Harry Kane when he wasn't in the top three? (maybe so Madrid could attempt to tap him up) Why schedule the awards ceremony on a night where the winner of the women's awards couldn't attend as she has a world cup qualifier the next day. Why hold it in England when it's obvious that no player from the prem was ever going to have a chance of getting into the fifa team of the year or win an individual award. They still picked an over the hill iniesta ahead of a number of better midfielders from around the world.

And they wonder why players don’t come out...

Also, are they insinuating that Rooney is gay? What a bizarre headline. :fp:

It's too early for me to decipher the madness of a Daily Star headline. :fp:

I guess it's true though, gay people are physically incapable of having children with icky yucky girls.

Maybe Rooney is?

I mean Coleen spends most her time on holidays.

I see Phil Neville and Giggs are both interested in the Everton job. I don't know if it's arrogance or something but the class of 92 need to start in the lower leagues like most managers. They need to stop thinking they beneath that because they won so many trophies or were coached by Fergie. Both mean strawberry float all. Maybe they should start at Salford FC.
