City look like they've got Walker for 50 mill. Hell of a lot money for a full back that. Wonder if this opens the door for us to sign Dier? not sure he's worth that kind of money though either.

If Walker is worth £50 million I must be worth about £1k. Feels good, man!

Walker for £50+ million would seem complete and utter lunacy twelve months ago but I just don't know if thats a fair price in this summer's market.

Looks like good business by Spurs anyway as they've managed to bed in Trippier as his replacement before selling him. So they've banked a massive fee and don't necessarily need to replace him in the first team.

They also close to signing Mendy for £50m.

I wonder how much City have spend on defenders in the last few seasons. Has to be over £250m and Kompany will still be their best defender.

Pep really should have been doing this last season. But it's going to be interesting how he sets it up. With Mendy and Walker they'd be way more open than last season on the counter.

I've said this before in here but when you consider how long Bergiristan has been at City and how much he has spent the fact any area of the team needed as big an overhaul as City's defence required this summer is fairly dismal. Guy is lucky to still be there.

He'll be safe as long as Guardiola is there.

Star Sixes live on Sky Sports 1 at the moment. About to watch Emile Heskey play for the first time in a while  I really hope he hasn't improved.

Would have been funnier still if they'd poked fun at their own animated, multi-part, kit reveal/sly dig at old manager announcement.

I didn't see a lot of Swansea last season so I don't know how much of that was down to him possibly being hamstrung by the way managers set up or tactical setups, but it's some interesting stats regardless. I know there's a few Swansea fans on here, would you guys put his lack of chances created down to the player or other factors?

We were atrocious for the first half of the season. I genuinely believe Bob Bradley to be one of the most incompetent managers the Premier League has ever seen.

Sigurdsson is a set piece specialist, that is the strongest part of his game. But that leads to alot of goals and it won us a lot of points. People will rightfully say £50m should get you more from a player, but there are other factors at play here. And anyway, the way the market is going, £50m is the new £30m.

West Ham are on the verge of signing Joe Hart for some reason. I despair, I really do. Goalkeeper isn't really a problem position for us and Hart has just had a nightmare year starting from the last Euros and a dreadful stint at Torino. Plus his wages will be ludicrous. We are just trying to sign names. No imagination, no nous, just recruiting strawberry floating has-beens.

Not that I don't disagree with your main point but as this is a Man City loan signing you're probably chipping in a fiver towards his £100k a week wages.

Good point. Still, though. Hart. :dread:
