They help spread the gooseberry fool over the pitch.

I hope I'm made to eat my words, but I was sooo right about Utd earlier in this thread after the Liverpool game. If we are going to win the league and in Europe, we need to be competing AT LEAST 50-50 all over the pitch with teams like City.

The difference between this week and last week is that we've made two glaring errors from set pieces today and that is ultimately what cost us. City haven't made too many clear cut chances they've been gifted this really.

They’re all over you. You have to be mad to think they don’t deserve to be in front.

They deserve to win sure but I think we've given them a helping hand today.

Lukaku was disappointing today. Title race over now.

Lukaku cost us the game. Defended two set pieces horribly and then missed a sitter.

Well that’s that then. Signing Lukaku was a mistake, he’s dogshit.

City are a better team than us. I think that's obviously clear. That's why they won. No point in making excuses.

Lukaku was a bit unlucky with the finish but he doesn’t do enough for me in general play.

Pretty much this. I said it a few weeks ago De Bruyne and Silva are better creatively than anything we have.

At the end of the day we're a better side than we were last season but not good enough to win the title.

Ibra wasn't going to do gooseberry fool anyway (80% of Mangala's good games have been against him) but it was weird how united took off their only creative central player for him and didn't bring another one until 5 minutes later.

Pep playing jesus on the wing and sterling through the middle didn't really work well

Pretty much what I expected. At least Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all dropped points too.

Don't think United should have gone back to 4-2-3-1c for this game, the 3-4-1-2 was suiting everyone.

We are definitely at a certain level, where we can easily demolish certain teams and with a bit of luck eek a result out of the very top teams. But we are nowhere near the elite. I don't even know if City are, that remains to be seen. They are certainly the best in England at the moment.
