Would Man Utd have done that against Real Madrid? I hear a resounding strawberry float NO! Takes guts to take on a great team and actually try to win. Well played Spurs.

What’s the point? I made mine the other day and your belief is contrary.
It is contrived. Just for gooseberry fool like the stuff you post. Yes it’s also tired. Just as I am if hearing it. So I’ll go with that because debating with you is pointless.

You’re an idiot.

Is that better?

I can just reply with that instead each time?

It’s more accurate than any of your posts about United.

Yet Potchetinno has one of the worst records against the other big teams away from home. He's won one game in 16 away from home against the big teams.

Didn't they end the game with about six defenders?

It was a great point. But Madrid have been poor especially at home this season. Levante, Betis and Valencia have taken points from them at home. So they clearly not in great form. They have no real alternative to Benzema which hurts them as Morata outscored him last season despite sitting on the bench for most of it.

Still not sure why you crying about Jose getting a point at Anfield. It's strange as you are a West Ham fan. A point away to Anfield after a international break is a decent point. It's not a easy ground for big teams. I think we had the best record in recent years there compared to the other big teams. Chelsea have won there twice in recent times thanks to Jose.

I'm confused by Denster Vs Blue Eyes, I've probably missed something.

I don't think it is unreasonable to point out that Mourinho has a tendency to deliberately stifle big games, personally I think he enjoys doing so. This irritates people, always has done, but it is undoubtedly effective.

You can hardly blame United fans for being perfectly happy with a draw at Anfield but you can hardly blame neutrals for being annoyed at how terrible the game was and pointing the blame at Mourinho.

You missed Blue Eyes complaining about Mourinho's tactics since last weekend. Lucky you!

Moaning about defensive tactics is absolutely fine. Going on and on and on about it, long after the game is over and picking fights with people about it when Manchester United aren't playing is annoying as strawberry float.

Let's see how you feel about him in a couple of years when he's managing PSG and stifles the life out of a Champions League tie at Old Trafford. :p

People should be over him by now though.

Good one this week.

Warning: It does contain a reference to the Liverpool-Man Utd game being dross.

No doubt I'll have a whinge about it  But at least it'll be my own team I would be bitching about.

Mourinho does what he feels is best not what the media/pundits want him to do. We finished sixth last season and for the most part we struggled to score goals and drew too many games against mid table or lower clubs. This season if we correct that somewhat I think it'll make a big difference to where we finish. Does it surprise me that he's shut up shop against the big sides away from home last season? No we weren't playing particularly great. Towards the end of the season our priorities changed and the Europa League became the greatest and most realistic chance of getting back into the CL so why go all out away at Spurs and Arsenal? don't forget Ibra was also injured during this period and we were playing with Rashford/Rooney up front.

The Liverpool match whilst dire to watch was just a case of keeping the momentum going without handing one our biggest rivals a real boost. Don't forget Liverpool as wonderfully as they are playing in an attacking sense sit in 8th and have away Tottenham next. Mourinho knows when to pick his fights and he knows away Liverpool is a game that has so much riding on it you basically just don't want to lose it.

I'm more interesting to see our approach away at Arsenal and Chelsea which are teams I think this season we should feel on par with if not better than. I expect away City and away Tottenham may see a very pragmatic approach also but when taken in the context of a season of thirty-eight games it's understandable.

The old "Play to not lose" is one of those tactics that's usually only really 'exciting' (in the loosest sense of the term, Pulis teams are never exciting) for those who support the team... It just annoys everyone else but that's the way football is played...

It's like when all the big clubs moan about such and such small team played too defensively against us... THAT'S THE POINT!

It's horrible to watch. I don't think you'll find many Utd fans who found the game on Saturday entertaining. I expected exactly what happened it's not nice to play against but I think every team has to do it a few times a season. The thing that was disappointing is I don't believe for a second Mourinho doesn't want the team to carry some form of counter attacking edge when playing like this and we just weren't slick enough at times to make anything with the small passages of play we had.

Not the same really, Manu's squad cost double Liverpools. The mental gymnastics in here justifying Mourinho's flaws is extremely amusing, especially so when you check the search history and see the very same people triggered by him employing the same tactics when he was Chelsea manager.

Yeah but what Photeks chart won't tell you is that during his second spell at Chelsea in his first season that he picked up 24/30 points against the big teams and won strawberry float all. During his second season there they got 17/30 but a few of the big games were played after they had won the league. I think it angers him more that Mourinho hasn't lost at Anfield in his last four visits.

I believe it was Monday Night Football's chart and Boyle Sports' tweet but sure, I'll take the credit if you want man. :datass:

I'm not in the least bit angry, Liverpool won 7-0 and now top their CL group. :)

Just searched what you said about Mourinho in the past.
