I can see the Club World Cup getting a lot more interest in a 4 year, 24 team format held in June.

The lowest rated comment:

FIFA must scrap ALL national leagues and force every club to be liquidated. Replace it with a franchise system with 32 teams across Europe in an NFL style competition. This is what the fans want, so it must be done NOW.

I would watching London Lightning V Madrid Mayhem.

I don't like the idea of a 4 year club tournament, i'm not sure how they propose that you qualify for it but it seems rather unfair to the clubs that win stuff in the intermittent years. Not that i have to worry about that being a Spurs fan.

Eight CL finalists, ditto EL finalists, remaining eight teams (or more depending on multiple finalists) made up from teams with highest ranked UEFA coefficients not already qualified.

Isn't it supposed to be a world tournament with 24 teams from around the world?

Here's a list of the Top 10 European clubs in terms of net spend last summer:

1. PSG 314m
2. AC Milan 173m
3. Man United 170m
4. Man City 158m
5. Chelsea 97m
6. Bayern Munich 62.2m
7. Marseille 56.7m
8. Brighton 49.4m
9. Liverpool 46.7m
10. Huddersfield 43.9m

I didn't realise AC Milan spent so much last summer. They're 7th at the moment....

Brighton and Huddersfield were in the top 10 of spenders in the whole of Europe?

Thing is when you come up, your squad wades won’t be at excessive levels yet so with the TV money there’s a lot you have left for transfers.

That’s true, but to be in the top ten for the whole of Europe is pretty incredible.

Keano!

Viera wasn't afraid of Keane.

Great watching back but I'm glad time has shown us that big Pat is a class act while Keane is a disgusting, horrible banana split who is completely unhinged.

Yeah that whole spitting thing. Very classy.
Keane was and is a banana split but please don’t pretend Viera wasn’t.

It’s nice to see again how Arsenal were bad losers whenever they lost a match.

And speaking of Arsenal

twitter.com/jwtelegraph/status/988533734994477058

You mean the frustration after Utd's blatant cheating and the weak officials who were scared of Fergus?

As gooseberry fool as it is I'm glad the board have been honest and just said we have no money rather than talk up the war chest.

Blatant cheating? You had Pires diving around every game. Whilst Keown, Cole and Vieira were hardly saints.

Fergie figured you out from 2004 and basically since then to 2013 it wasn’t really a rivalry.

Arsenal should easily be one of the big spenders. Definitely third in the premier league in terms of spending. They charge the highest ticket prices in the league. £50m net isn’t a lot these days especially with the TV money. They spent over £100m last year and recouped that much too. So wonder where the money is going. They been lucky that the fans have been so focused on Wenger. But if the next manager fails then the attention will be on them.

The attention has been on Stan Kroenke for a while as well as Wenger. Are you sure we recouped £100 million or there abouts.
Can't really see any truth in the Telegraph article tbh.

Edit: Looks like Arsenal did recoup that money.

Arsenal made £110m in transfer fees, whilst other clubs seem to be putting a huge chunk of TV money into transfers Arsenal seem to be giving money to Kroenke’s American sports teams.

Highest ticket prices, huge sponsorship deals and TV money should mean Arsenal would be above Liverpool and even Chelsea as big spenders, yet they’re behind the top five. Very shady.

Honestly the ticket prices being will only contribute a few percentage of the money we can spend.
If you go to games out of the top sides the prices are pretty average something that gets missed when they have the annual ticket price score board.
Pretty sure Kroenke has had a few issues with some of his American assets recently so I'm sure Arsenal have funded or will be funding these.
