You gotta give it to Real. Winning 3 Champion Leagues in a row is legendary.

He’s a professional.

They weren’t mistakes like he went for a cross or missed it or he palmed it in the wrong direction.

No sympathy here. Those are literally schoolboy mistakes.

That's cold. He has crumbled and cost his team the final, regardless of how basic the mistakes were, on a human level you have to feel some sympathy. It will haunt him forever and probably ruin his career!

He’s getting paid thousands of pounds.

If he can’t throw a ball out or catch a ball then he’s in the wrong profession.

True on both counts but I don't see how that prevents you from sympathising. He has probably been dreaming of this moment for his whole life and he has strawberry floated it in front of millions viewers, totally humiliating himself in the process. No amount of money changes that.

Agreed. the kid is devastated, wouldn't want to wish that on anyone.

Bale wins the match for Madrid and gets shunted to the back of the trophy celebration. You can hardly see him.

Real Madrid are after Alisson. Liverpool would be fools not attempting to go for him.

If they sign someone like Butland then I think that’s a slight improvement over Karius and Mignolet. But the likes of Oblak and Alisson would be big improvements.

5 Live suggesting Ronaldo just gave a Spanish TV interview where he hinted he may be leaving RM.

I love you Ron but :fp: :fp: :fp:

For the first goal, it’s not even like Benzema snuck up on him and nicked it, he was literally standing in front of Karius, he can’t not have seen him. Such a basic error :fp:

Well played to Liverpool for getting to the final though to be fair, better than all the other English clubs.

Probably gutted that it was Bale and Karius that won the game for them and not him.

I haven't felt this dumbfounded about a game since Brazil 1-7 Germany in the WC QF 4 years ago

Liverpool's defence and attack were about as brilliant as they could have been. I can't fault them at all. Just a shame about the twonk in goal...

We were after him. But we scored seven goals past him and Karius was playing well. Now those seven goals can be ignored

Of course. And for him it's the best possible time to bring it up and that's why it's so strawberry floated up. (The night isn't about just him. He should have held off bringing it up.)

Well yeah, you’d be livid wouldn’t you.
It was shocking how a fan even got onto the pitch, could have had a knife or a gun on him.
