Don't know if this was shared in the thread previously, but seems to confirm that Pogba is actually a bit of a twat:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43358556

He needs to grow up and be more professional, can you imagine anyone doing that under Fergie? Or Stevie G doing that when he was playing? I don't think so. Pogba is too much like Balotelli for my liking.

I saw the Mourinho interview live and it possibly being unprofessional didn't cross my mind. I do find it odd that he interrupted Klopp's interview though :slol: A little over exuberance in a youngster is acceptable, could also be said that it happening after such a important game against a local rival shows he's in tune with the club.
The Balotelli comparison is laughable.

Apologies if I missed the humour in your post.

I certainly hope you weren’t taking my post as casual racism, Maf. Pogba’s personality reminds me of Balotelli’s in that he’s a guy who believes his own hype and doesn’t seem to take his profession very seriously. Everything seems to be a show to him and an opportunity to get some limelight, like interrupting an interview - what’s to be gained other than to piss off your manager and become the focus of things. Just reeks of attention seeking. The fact his skin colour happens to be the same as Balotelli’s is irrelevant (to me, anyway).

And SoK - the youthful exuberance excuse doesn’t wash with me, he’s not some kid fresh out of the academy at his first derby. United really miss quality leaders, there’s no-one like a Keane, Vidic or Giggs to set the tone and standard in the squad, they all just seem like a bunch of prima donnas.

How does interrupting your own manager and the Liverpool manager after the game show you're in tune with your club?

Also gooseberry fool like that would never been allowed under Fergie he would have been given a bollocking and rightfully so.

Slightly related - every time I’ve seen him in action whether in video or photos he always looks so...dishevelled. Genuinely looks a bit unwell.

The issue is his attitude and Jose isn’t the first manager to call him out on it. He doesn’t seem to look after himself off the pitch. On the pitch he doesn’t do a lot either. Mourinho made a valid point that him and Valencia were not attacking the space on Saturday. Matic at times was screaming at Shaw to move. 3 assists in his whole career, I don’t think he’s a great attacking full back.

I would prefer if we cut our losses. Sessegnon seems to have a better head on him. He also is miles better than Shaw in the attacking third. Ashley Young isn’t a better defender than Shaw. The reason he starts is because he offers more on the left side than Shaw does.

This whole situation being labelled at bullying is ridiculous though. If that’s what Shaws camp are calling it then they need to work in the real world.

It is bullying though, Pochettino also had a word with Shaw but did it one on one in his office not in front of the national Media, to say there is no difference in both approaches is disingenuous.

Who cares if it isn’t one to one? He called out Valencia and said other players were scared.

Also if the teacher yells at a pupil in front of the whole classroom does that mean bullying to you? People want to use the word bully for anything these days. Poor old Luke earning 120k a week and not really done well at his job for the last 3 years.

Three managers have called him out on his fitness issues. It’s not like Jose is the only one.

By your logic Fergie used to bully Giggs and Rooney. As he used to bollock them even when they were playing well in front of everybody.

It doesn't. But it could be said that being so hyped that you interrupt a interview after beating local rivals does. And him having grown up at the club and so knowing how thrilled everyone would be at beating Liverpool means he could well have been genuinely hyper after the win and so got carried away a bit.

He proved himself a world class talent at Juventus. Bringing Balotelli into the discussion just weakens your argument.

Everyone matures at a different pace and Pogba is still a very young man.

You're right about a lack of leaders, though.

Funny how this story broke after the Deschamps one did though earlier in the day, eh.

Most hi-lariously of all: BBC 5 Live got one of Shaw's Southampton coaches on the radio to see what he made of what Mourinho had been doing to the player. He basically made the case for Mourinho :slol: I bet they weren't expecting that.

I do feel some of the criticism that Pogba gets from our fans is over the top. A few months ago these people were probably saying he was our best outfield player and we need to sign more players like him.

Now he has a bad dip of form and it’s like he posts on Instagram too much. Sell him to Real Madrid or PSG.

He was just shaking the hand of his manager. I thought it was a good touch myself because there’s been a lot written about him and Jose arguing.

Players like Pogba and Martial the club needs to keep. It would be a step backwards if we let these sort of players leave.

As for Shaw he just needs to go to a club where they’d give him regular football. There’s no point going to Chelsea or Spurs if he’s going to sit on the bench and gain pounds in the process.

Go to a team where he’s guaranteed to play every week. Even a club like Burnley would be great for him. He’s still young enough to get another big move if he performs well. He needs to follow the example of Zaha who’d probably end up getting his big move in the summer again.

That's exactly how I saw it at the time.

The faux outrage would be hilarious (given the fact it happened weeks ago but we're only now reading about it) if not for the fact it's incredibly transparently pathetic as why it's being talked about. (Jose's pissed at Deschamps/Pogba.)

It didn’t look like a friendly handshake but more of that of a egotistic player showing an egotistic boss whos more important to the club. The manner in which he almost grabbed mourinho just showed how little power mourinho really has and pogba wanted to show this. Him interrupting klopps interview was pretty ridiculous.

Shame he picked up the injury.

17 goals in 28 appearances in the league last season not bad for a 35 year old. Wish we signed him up sooner.

Maybe Maf means that "bame" players are held to a different standard? This wasn't the first time I've seen an interview interrupted in a positive manner but I do think it was the first time I've seen such an incident labelled as disrespectful.

I'm glad you quoted that as I wanted to add something to my previous comments but didn't want to be the one to restart the conversation  People saying it's disrespectful to Mourinho and Klopp, and it would never have happened under Fergie are ignoring that every one of those managers has acted the complete arse on a number of occasions. Intentionally. Pogba may have been disrespectful but at least with his actions comes a modicum of doubt and as I said before, youthfulness. The managers on the other hand really should have known better. So yeah, managers who want players to behave in the proper manner should maybe set a better example themselves.

I'm pretty certain it's a misquote, and he meant to quote Preezy when he compared Pogba with another black player.

That's what I assumed, but I don't know why comparing 2 people who happen to be black is casual racism. Would it also be racist to compare Joey Barton and Jonjo Shelvey because they're a couple of dickheads who both happen to be white?

What a nonsense argument, these 'what about'ism points are rampant these days, it's rather depressing.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

edit: I must say this whole disrespect thing has been a real eye-opener as I had no idea post match interviews where managers often spew all sorts of hot garbage were considered so sacred.

edit 2: Yeah, I saw the episode of LWT w/ John Oliver as well.
