TV money has increased huge amounts over the last few seasons, They always finish towards the top of the league, they have some of the most expensive ticket prices in the world. I remember reading a while back that they had an untouched war chest of money that Wenger refused to use for whatever reason. Surely it cant all be about paying the stadium off?

Pellegrinni is confirmed.

The only worry now Blue Eyes is that Yaya Toure apparently could be his first signing. Toure is a quality player on the ball, but his legs are gone. West Ham need to stop being some sort of retirement club, if they wanna get anywhere.

I wouldn't read too much into it, if all the seasons of the 'war chest' turned out to be a load of rubbish I'm not going to believe this. The only thing I take from it is the club saying that players are going to have to be sold to generate funds. Also, I'm pretty sure Kroenke has some debts to be covered.

I'd love to know where the ticket prices thing comes from, allegedly an Arsenal ticket costs £95, I've paid close to that once to watch them play Man City. I usually pay £30-£50.

Well his new LA Stadium is going way over budget, currently it is going to cost $4 Billion, so I guess that is where it could be going

Yeah we really don't need to be signing a 35-year-old has-been for an important position right now, even if he is a free transfer. We desperately need a quality screening defensive midfielder this summer, among many other things.

I think the most obvious thing regarding Arsenal, is that none of us work for them so none of us actually know the truth.

Journos think they know, but they don't. Arsenal are one of the most closed team/business that I know.

How do you know they are so closed off? You don't work for them, so you can't possibly know that.

Somewhat surprised about Pellegrini - always seemed like a nice, classy guy - not an obvious fit for the likes of West Ham. I guess the lure of a PL club is quite strong though.

Always liked Arsenal, but that was mainly because of Wenger and some of the players they had (most of which are long gone now). Will be interesting to see how Emery gets on.

BBC and a lot of media are reporting it. When BBC report it then you gather someone close to the club has given them the details.

It’s probably why Allegri and Enrique didn’t bother. Arteta probably felt it was a big risk for his first coaching job with that sort of limited budget especially as he’d need to get a champions league place, which isn’t easy.

Guillem Balague said that Enrique was keen but said no because he wanted more money to buy players so the £50m thing could be true.

I asked my mate from work and he said that his brother asked Tom who works for Sports Direct and his dad said he saw it on the Lad Bible.

the players we are apparently close to signing and have been linked to does suggest that there is more than the 50 million though. especially when one of the players has a release clause of 52 million.
