It's also not a stretch to see why Chelsea sold them. Clearly not their number one CDM, more than likely unhappy dropping down from first team to bit part player. Selling to a rival I agree with, strange move.

How has Lukaku not got his hat-trick?! Considering how early he got his second the lack of chances and urgency for him to get his 3rd has been very disappointing.

Pathetic from West Ham but Man Utd looked good, to be fair. Should be an interesting title race.

Conte wanted to keep him but he was sold against his will. That tells you all you need to know.

Anyway, that was fantastic to watch.

Matic was strawberry floating immense, we've been sorely needing a player like him for years
Lukaku's debut couldn't really have got any better
Mkhitaryan and Rashford both very good
Pogba commanding
Delighted to see Martial score too

Pleased for Martial. I'm predicting a big season for him.

Agreed.

At some time, Rashford made a few mistakes or gave away with the ball so easily but he did good today though.

Matic was my man of the match and he was fantastic.

The overall, we are looking good and the last season we didn't score that much than three goals! 4-0 was a great start!

Whether Conte wanted or not I don't care we needed someone of his quality in that position.

Great three points today hopefully we can keep this momentum going into the next game.

It's hardly beyond imagining that Chelsea would sell a player their manager would rather keep. I mean, didn't they sell many players against Mourinho's wishes?

It's hardly beyond imagination they'd especially in this case decided to sell him, you know given the fact he went to United.

To be fair, Conte's comments to the media suggest he didn't want Matic to go.

This. Seemed like he wanted to keep him and had no say in his transfer.

Sounds like he's taken yesterday's result badly and today's game isn't making things any easier for him :(

Yup, Suarez dives for a penalty and it's given, Ronaldo scores a worldie and gets sent off for not diving 2 minutes later

Yep. Ronaldo has livened it right up. Same old cheating going on, of course.
