maybe because theyre 4th in the league?
i would also disagree with Alonso, he's been pretty average but im trying to think of any other LB thats had a good season - Robertson or Young maybe?
also funny that Man U are 2nd in the league and have no one in the team

Yeah, such a shame they sold De Gea to [Premier League club name].

I’d say Alonso was the main questionable inclusion there. Sterling and Firmino can consider themselves unlucky to not be included too.

Yeah the team on paper is nonsense really.

Robertson didn't get it cos he missed the first third of the season, not because of injury but cos Moreno was picked ahead of him. I think he is now the best left back in the prem.

Firmino doesn't have the goal tally to get in (same as Lukaku) but the stats don't show how important he is to Liverpool, in some way he's more important to us than Salah.

Has Otamendi played that well?

He's been one of the main centre backs for the team with the best defence in the league. I can see why he's in. The fact he was partnered with Mangala for long stretches means he should get a statue as well, probably.

Otamendi has been very good to be fair. Scored a few goals too I think.

I don’t think you could argue much against him or Vertonghen at centre back.

Honestly only think Otaimendi has looked good is because City have looked too good. I'm sure he wouldn't shine in an average team, he looks like a mistake that gonna happen at any time.

Maybe I'm being harsh.

Yeah that's what I thought, a team like Man City defend from the front so the defensive stats can flatter the actual defenders.

Clean sheet and a few players rested for away Spurs in the FA Cup.

Can't really make a case for any other united players -based on their consistency. Matic has been good but you couldn't put him ahead of the other three there. Front three picks itself and the keeper is a dead cert. Question marks remain over Otamendi as others have pointed out - but he has been the mainstay in the meanest defence in the league.

Liverpool might well have been higher and Van Djikk there instead if they'd done it properly in the summer instead of getting him in January. He's definitely improved their back four.

Missed the whole game tonight but a decent win that gives us some breathing space in second.

:datass: from Herrera.

I still don't think they're gonna finish second.
