Sounds like everyone was watching the wrong game. The Spurs V Dortmund game was really good. Great performance from Spurs.

They were outright speaking to him , everyone else at least goes through the agent or family so they don't technically break the rules.

Funny that after the Premier League investigated it found no evidence to the alleged tapping up.
Hmmm makes you think.
Please link me the evidence my dude?

That's not what happened. The Premier League didn't investigate because Liverpool issued a formal statement apologising and withdrawing their interest in VVD and so Southampton didn't follow through with their threat of submitting the evidence they had.
As the matter was resolved between the clubs the PL didn't bother doing anything more.

“Liverpool Football Club would like to put on record our regret over recent media speculation regarding Southampton Football Club and player transfers between the two clubs,” said the statement. “We apologise to the owner, board of directors and fans of Southampton for any misunderstanding regarding Virgil van Dijk. We respect Southampton’s position and can confirm we have ended any interest in the player.”

An arse covering manoeuvre cos Liverpool are under an actual investigation for tapping up a 13Yr old player. Statement appeases Saints and everyone can move on. No admission of talking directly to the player.
We could have pulled out the exact same card v Barca. Van Dijk just like Coutinho, shouldn't have signed a 5 year deal.

If they didn't tap him up, why did Liverpool stop going after him?
