There will definitely be a change in goal, with David de Gea rested in favour of Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira on the bench. De Gea is turning in another superb season for United but Mourinho offered a playful response when asked if he had seen a better goalkeeper this year.

“Yes. Romero,” he said. “Because he plays tomorrow. My goalkeeper is always the best goalkeeper in the world. Now David is third best. Romero is number one and Joel number two. David is third best.”

 Cute.

It’s not about them but the effect that it will have on our overall performances. We will rotate players but it will lead to us not putting out full strength teams in each match and risk dropping points.

The move has happened because the West Ham game was moved to Christmas Eve for tv but then the met police said it couldn’t happen on Xmas eve so it’s now been moved to the 4th jan because it has to be on tv.

It's ridiculous Spurs are being put in that position. Even with a lot of rotation somebody is probably going to end up playing all three games and it wouldn't surprise me if they suffered some injuries because of it.

The thing I don't understand is why the Premier League let the West Ham Spurs game be scheduled for New Years Eve in the first place.

I feel sorry for the fans - 3 games of drudging disappointment in rapid-fire quick succession :(

The spurs players look dead on their feet already tbh.

Surely that will get changed? That's pretty ridiculous.

TV mob have pretty much taken apart the festive calendar, doubt anything is going to help it out...

Mean Palace have got Arsenal on 28th, Citeh on 31st and Southampton on 2nd...

Spurs will definitely play a 2nd/3rd string in the Cup...

Hopefully that CSKA goal might give the attackers a kick up the arse. Been far too wasteful in the final third.

Two players who could do with a goal.

Much more like it.
