Too be fair to him, the first tweet is in reply to his sister so they are clearly messing around with each other. It hardly suggests that it was his real opinion. As a famous name though he should have been more clued in as to putting stuff like that on social media though.

I haven’t a clue about the circumstances of the second tweet.

England can actually get relegated soon because of competition replacing friendlies.

The draw for this is tomorrow, I tried reading the rules about it again and it’s still very confusing. Also the prize for winning each group is a euro 2020 place, but why are they bothering with a 3rd/4th place match at the end. What’s Uefa and FIFA’s obsession with it? No one cares if they finish 3rd or 4th in football. In some other sports fair enough, but football rarely celebrates being runners up, let alone 3rd place. Usually if you do you are slaughtered for it.

As far as I can tell all the teams are put into a league which is then split into mini leagues (4 teams per mini league I think but it could be 3) with the winners going into a winners cup and the lower league teams can win promotion and the bottom of the groups go into a relegation dogfight.
It's a lot harder to explain than it actually is. I have a feeling it's like the champions league but with promotion and relegation.

All I know is England are going to be gooseberry fool and manage to avoid relegation but that's about it.

Yeah I can’t really get too outraged about those idiotic tweets to be honest. I’m more annoyed he’s got the job despite not applying for it.

Finally an English manager who's willing to start at the bottom of the game and work his way up.

The players who stuck with Sampson through "Eni Aluko saga" deserve him and more besides.

I guess the FA thought that he looks so sexless he probably won't touch the players or insult them.

Phil Neville is a pleb at times but I do think the tweets are out of context. He seems to be a far nicer guy than that sampson dude.

Yes, and thus create a new super tournament where players will give 10% less strawberry floats than they gave about friendlies.
