Once saying he’d heard opposition fans shouting they hoped his kids got cancer. But that doesn’t appear to have been the case here. The provocation appears very mild here.
His response is not only disgusting it’s also a massive overreaction to a pretty mild bit of goading.
I like the guy. He’s a good commentator and his reaction to this shows he’s truly sorry and ashamed of himself. But so he should be.
It’s a disgusting act and is inexcusable.

It wasn’t just being drunk at work (which is suddenly now considered hilarious TV over at ITV), I would put Gallacher being drunk behind the wheel with kids in the car far worse than spitting at someone.
