As I said, there needs to be discussion on it if people aren’t happy with the current status quo. My understanding has always been that cup and title winners tend to go into the thread title pretty sharply after they happen. Football spoilers very rarely bother me though so maybe I’m not the best judge on these matters.

i dont think its unreasonable to leave off until 24 hours afterwards.
im trying to be realistic - if youve not watched the game/highlights that evening then youre too late as something else wouldve given the result away by that point.
for example i record Champs League as i have work late on Wed evenings - if the football thread title had the result in it then my whole 90 mins recording is worthless pretty much.
people do things differently, dont ruin others enjoyment when its no skin off your nose.

I just don't understand why you would come on GRCade TBH. To try blame Photek for that when its a common practice is to me very, very low.

i frequently browse off-topic when im at work/at home on weekends - ive never had a result spoiled before for me. the clues in the name, its Off-Topic, not FOOTBALL (& Off-Topic)
people trying to equate Facebook/Twitter with GRCade is false - theyre not the same, i cant browse Facebook and expect people to not mention any results or spoilers for things that have happened, neither can i jump in the football or chat thread and expect to not see anything. but i think its totally unreasonable to not be able to pop into the Politics thread, or the ANNOY thread via the off-topic section - wouldnt you agree?

No, I thought through it differently than you might have done and I did that quickly because it's simple from an objective utilitarian perspective: people who don't want to know the results don't know them, people who want to share results overtly and see the results however possible do not really lose anything.

I thought it deserved thinking through, just not thinking through this much. I'm kind of amazed.

The Reverse situation that GG and 'Faceman' haven't contemplated is that sometimes people want to actually know these things. Also on more than one occasion when announcing the start and end of the transfer window people didn't realize when it did start and end etc.
