Agreed, but on the other hand they haven't scored a goal deapite having a relatively okay opening 4 fixtures.

Scott Dann missed a 3 yard header yesterday, not sure what manager can do about that.

Sure, Palace have had a poor start... but sacked after four games? 77 days? Amazing.

Hope that doesn't affect Fosu-Mensah's playing time.

I'd hope not, he's been quite good...

Nothing confirmed properly as of yet mind, I'd sincerely hope after the actual improvement of yesterday they'd actually rethink things... I'd rather take de Boer than Woy that's for sure... Going back to the Palace old boys club is not the right thing to do...

Think all the defeats have come from individual errors each time too, Luka at Liverpool, Lee yesterday... Managers can't be blamed for individuals being idiots with the ball...

Or the back pass that lead to the Burnley goal. It is harsh when you consider yesterday is the trigger.

I think the problem is he was the wrong appointment in the first place.

Never really got a chance to prove if it was wrong. Woy is wrong However.

When Woy is the answer (and also seemingly is all set to instantly replace him) you do have to wonder what the question actually is?

Spend a whole month getting a new manager, don't particularly back him in the window and wonder why it's a bad start to the season? What a strawberry floating mess this is.

Why hire him in the first place? You want a new brand of football then you either buy him 11 new players who can play his style or give him time.

But they had 3 relatively easy fixtures out of 4 and that's what's ultimately cost him as their next 4 fixtures are relatively tough. They probably felt they wouldn't get anything out of those fixtures under him. So go for the new manager effect.

Apparently they missed out on Marco Silva because the chairman was on holiday and told him not to speak to any other clubs.

Sacked after 4 games is a joke. :fp:

Imagine how hard Football Manager would be if they started included realistically twitchy owners who sacked you after 4 bad results.

Four losses later and I assume Hodgson will get the sack too.

Sorry, I should have clarified that further-it was wrong of them to appoint him if they weren't willing to give him time and support to implement the changes he wanted to.

I was just looking at the list of the usual suspects to see who else was available besides Roy, and two of them (Allardyce and Pardew) both have Palace as their last jobs. :slol: Kinda tells its own tale there. Given the speed it's been done, they must have actively wanted Hodgson... :? :dread:
