After Asensio had missed training this week, coach Zinedine Zidane told a news conference that he had a "pimple... which stopped him pulling up his socks," with subsequent reports in the local press clarifying that the youngster had picked up an infection after shaving his legs

He should have waxed.

Imagine having to look Zidane in the eye and telling him you can't play because you cut yourself shaving your legs. I'd start looking for a new club now mate...

Surprised he didn't header Ascencio straight onto the transfer list.

Manager at work pointed out to me that Palace are on TV again this weekend :dread:

Embarrassing ourselves twice in one week after the circus is not what I would like...

Ref in this Liverpool-Sevilla has been awful.

He isn't favouring Sevilla or anything like that. Some of his decisions have just been frankly bizarre for both sides.

Fake Edit: Nice one Bobby.

In terms of quality this is a 4/10 match at best.

In terms of entertainment it's a 9/10.

Not the end of the world considering Maribor equalized against Spartak.

Liverpool sure will be a fun side to watch this season absolute calamity at the back.

Think we need to give up on Klopp soon. Defence still not fixed.

Rodgers was gooseberry fool at fixing the defence and so is Klopp. It's September and I've seen enough parting of the Red Sea to last an entire season. No point blowing hundreds of millions on forwards if he's not fixing the back. Every cross is a potential goal conceded for our back four.

From the BBC:

Liverpool have conceded eight goals in three league games so far this season, and their problems at the back were in evidence again at Anfield.

Manager Jurgen Klopp, a Champions League runner-up in charge of Borussia Dortmund in 2013, did not manage to address the side's defensive issues in the summer, missing out on key target Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.

The lack of understanding among the backline is further complicated by Klopp's apparent indecision about his number one goalkeeper, alternating between Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius for the third straight game, with the German being handed a start this time.

Well they probably would have got Van Dijk if they weren't so blatant with their agents in the media basically tapping him up.
