They’re not the same team that won the Europa League 3 years in a row.

I think this is my first “Mourinho out” moment.

To play like that over 2 legs against such a bang average side with the quality players at his disposal is inexcusable. 2 most important games of the season, play like dog gooseberry fool.

First time Sevilla got to quarter finals of the Champions League in their history. Wow.

I think he’s done a decent job steadying the ship.

But with the money being spent, our football hasn’t improved. It’s one thing being defensive against Liverpool and Chelsea. But it’s not acceptable when we do it vs Palace, Newcastle and Sevilla.

What’s worse City have conceded the least amount of goals in the league. So Pep has shown you can attack and not concede.

Our football just seems outdated compared to Spurs, Liverpool and City. We getting results most of the time. But when we don’t then Mourinho is gonna take the hit. Nobody questioned a Potch last week because he went for it in both legs against Juve. If we went out going for it then I wouldn’t be bothered. But 4 shots on target in two games is atrocious.

Maybe not, but they're through anyway. Utd had no right to win this. The media are always too bullish about English clubs' chances, you'd have thought they'd know by now.

Rashford played really well against Liverpool on the left - best stick him on the right against Sevilla :simper:

Fellaini hasn’t started a game since November - best put him in the middle for the most important game of the season :simper:

Be interesting to see what sort of reaction both him and the players get against Brighton on Saturday, as well as who he picks and where.

I think it’s the manner of the defeat really. Also you wanted Klopp out already earlier this season... :fp:

I just don't think he gets it. You can't spend hundreds of millions of pounds on top quality players, with a massive stadium full to the gills every week, with all the coverage and media and "brand" hype and then serve up tactics and performances like that. I don't think there's such a thing as "the United way", that's a rose-tinted view of the past, but there's definitely been a history of more attacking football and Jose just isn't that sort of manager. He's ultra-conservative in the mould of LVG, even Moyes let the players have a go! That negativity clearly eats into the confidence of the players. You've got a team with some superb attacking players, players that would get into the front lines of most teams and yet they play like they're terrified.

It's just a very demoralising result and when they're winning it's far easier to ignore or paper over the cracks, when it doesn't work though there's nowhere to hide.

Feel sorry for McTominay, why was he dropped?

Also, it's time to bench Alexis.

I watched the entire first half and was bored out of my mind, I fired up PUBG and had a few games. In the last game I was center of the circle camping in a house with some time to go so put on the match to see Sevilla score almost straight away, heard someone in the game (as had headphones on) went back to game and killed him just as he entered house, then moved about went back to match and it was 2-0. I got killed to come 4th and turned over to see the full time whistle be blown, an entertaining night indeed.

He announced for Scotland. Mourinho, having the England job lined up after an inevitably disastrous World Cup campaign, no longer has interest in his development.

I disagree with the opinion that ‘the United way’ doesn’t exist any more insofar as I believe that - combined with the power of the brand, the playing staff, the fans, the global fan base, the history - they absolutely must be serving up better football than that absolute shite.
Guardiola would make them world beaters, I reckon.

I really dislike it when people go 'fans of X club want to be entertained' or 'they support you when you play attacking football at X'..

...isn't that every club in world football?

Still very angry about the result last night. :x

Just so very poor. Kudos to Seville but they aren't great and any team will be happy to draw them in the next round. Didn't think we had a realistic chance of winning it but once you're through to the quarter finals - you have a chance. We blew that. I think we were complacent in the first half and never really got going.

The season is hardly a disaster but that's a massive disappointment. My only interest in the CL now is hoping City or Liverpool don't win it. :P
