I'm pretty sure it must do. It implies that he knew her age and worked on her for a while. Rather than just meeting her on one night out.

I just don't get it. If you're in his position, and you've decided you want to cheat on your Mrs with a very young girl, why not just pick a 17/18 year old and stay on the right side of the law? Hey, it's all pretty murky, but at least he'd not be facing charges.
They obviously have proof that he knew her age. He's a strawberry floating moron.

Well maybe he wanted to strawberry float a 14 year old. He could probably have nailed half of all 16-18 year old lasses out there by simple virtue of being a footballer. If past cases have proved anything, its that if you really want to strawberry float a kid, you will find a kid to strawberry float.
