Documents uncovered by investigative journalists have provided the first public evidence that the suspects in the Salisbury novichok attack have formal ties to the Russian ministry of defence.

I'm starting to think these guys might not be tourists.

They were obviously just doing research for the new Tomsk Clanski book.

If you pronounce "tourist" like an American, it becomes "terrorist". Coincidence?

olice have sealed off a restaurant in Salisbury and the surrounding area as a "precautionary measure" after two people were taken ill.

The ambulance service called officers to Prezzo in High Street at 18:45 BST following "a medical incident" involving a man and a woman.

Wiltshire Police said it was trying to establish what led them to fall ill.

It might not need to be here when more facts are known :P

Whenever it seems like things are settling down (i went back for the first time since the incident just last week), something else happens, it's been a rotten year for Salisbury. :(

The whole thing is hilarious because it's so blatant and yet there is nothing anybody can do about short of an all-out war with Russia which we certainly would not win. Before the suspects' TV interview, the UK had been accused of faking the identities and photos and also making the entire story up as an excuse to get more sanctions placed on Russia. I mean, it's just going to be a neverending war of words and counter accusations until the story fades away.

If Russia can get away with annexing Crimea and shooting down a passenger plane (something else they apparently had nothing to do with...honest!) then this poisoning thing is nothing.

It's sad but it's true. There's really nothing anybody can do and no form of justice that can be dished out unless somebody is willing to escalate the situation to a volatile state where other countries get sucked in and actual war erupts.

I'm sorry but that's clearly a photo of ex-Blue Peter presenter Richard Bacon.
