You'd have to be a mentalist to go over there as a fan for this World Cup. What happened to John Sweeney last night on Panorama sums up what may be on the cards for fans in Russia, particularly if you have to defend yourself from something. It'll be England fans getting arrested.

I don't really follow foot the ball, but hosting the World Cup in Russia (and Qatar) seemed like a bad idea from the start.

I have always thought that Qatar was the dodgier winning bid but that Russia was the more frightening place for visiting fans to go.

Both obviously bought and paid for their World Cups, but at least Russia does have a history of football. But that history is probably going to result in horrible violence as they have a big hooligan problem. I think Qatar will be looking at showing themselves in the best light and trying to convince the world that they are not a horrible country full of slavery and homophobia (even though they are). Whereas I don’t think the Russians give a strawberry float what anybody else thinks.

Theres a lot of rumours Qatar will not host the World Cup. The suggestion is is that they are waiting til the Russia World Cup is over before announcing it.

Well they are just rumours. Could be tin foil hat stuff but I've seen it mentioned a couple of times.

Gavin Williamson’s press conference on this was bizarre - inviting pressure onto the UK from Russia. What was he thinking?

Gavin Williamson is probably the nearest we have in tghis country to a Trump style aide. Hes absolutely ludicrous and yet seems to wield so much power.

Who would have ever guessed that Salisbury would be the cause of the end of the world?

That’s just the false flag part of the operation.

The real evil gets carried out at Avebury.

They were both terrible decisions, and only came about through bribery and corruption.

See, they should have bulldozed it and built that tunnel years ago.
