Bauer? Pffft, there's only one guy with the expertise to deal with this sort of thing...

Due to budget cuts we can not afford Mr Bauer or Mr Bond.

Instead we are going to send Mr Tumble.

Johnny English?

No, Mr Tumble.

But he has no investigation skills. If we want a team to crap this that can work together we just need to yelp for help!

Bring in Ryder and the Paw Patrol.

Have you seen the gadgets the Paw Patrol uses? We can’t afford that!

We can’t afford the competent James Bond, we can’t afford the incompetent Johnny English and we certainly can’t afford a load of dogs.

It's cool, Mayor Good way said she would foot the bill along with Captain Terbutt. Something about a frequent users discount.

So which of the dogs will be on the team?

I'd say definitely Chase, as he'd be able to catch Putin in a big net.

I would go with, Chase as you say for the net, Zuma for Sea based stuff, Skye for air support and Everest in case we need go to the north parts of russia.

Although I would suggest Chase is in his Spy get up not his normal police man one.

Forget all that, just send Robo-dog in there - job done!

Unfortunately Putin probably has Mayor Humdinger in his pocket so we can expect the Catastrophe Crew to turn up and ruin the day for our fearless pups!

That’s a rather big courtroom, could you hear the judge from that far back?

I wouldn't say Salisbury is pointless, it's actually rather nice.

I enjoy a cathedral as much as the next person but it’s hardly London, Birmingham, Manchester etc

True, it’s far better than two of those places.

I've never been to Salisbury, but I don't think it'd be hard for me to prefer it to all three of those cities

I know it’s a serious matter and I really hope the police officer makes a full recovery but every time I see those green suit people it makes me laugh even though it does remind me of the sad part in E.T

I do wonder whether the daughter might have been more involved than we realise, i mean think about it, she recently flew in from Russia and could have easily been tasked with (and promised a ton of cash for) doing the hit. Only when it came to actually carrying it out, she was sloppy, mucked it up and ended up getting herself too. It's too poorly executed to be a true professional surely, as any half decent hitman would have just taken the guy out to the woods, rubbed him out quietly, and then disappeared.

There's way too much about this case which just doesn't add up.

The police are now telling people who were at the restaurant to wash their clothes and belongings in case there is traces of the nerve agent. It's been a week! That sort of advice should have been given with the first day or two. We'd be useless at stopping it if the aim had been to target as many people as possible.

Considering they shot the last guy with a type of polonium only found in one particular research facility in Russia, and they regularly shoot journalists with guns that only the KGB have access to I'd wager this is more about sending a message then actually killing the guy.

Everyone knows who did this, but no one can do gooseberry fool. It's just to show any would be traitors what will happen to them.

Yeah, if Russia really wanted this particular guy dead for some really important reason, he'd have just been shot. This elaborate use of nerve agents is so over the top, it reeks of saber rattling.
